Carlton are offering Callan Ward a 6 year deal.

That is the hold up in his contract negotiations at the moment.

Still only 25 years old. Would be a catastrophe if he left the Giants. Apparently SOS is tugging at the heartstrings of coming back to Melbourne.

Depends on if he wants success or not. He is going to find a lot more success in his career at GWS than he is at Carlton, especially in the next 3 or so years.

GWS would need a lot of things to go right to have any success in the next 5 years.

Probably start with trying to stop losing talented players, and actually drafting kids who want to be there
