This board is currently without a moderator.
The position basically involves maintaining an active posting presence on the board, helping new posters and promoting discussion. Other duties involve monitoring the board for breaches of the rules, spam, etc. - however given the nature of this board that is not a major part of the job.
The position may suit someone who is already involved in starting match threads, running fantasy leagues, etc. as the extra powers available to a moderator (sticking/unsticking threads, editing posts, etc.) often make it easier for them to fulfil that role.
