Any reasoning behind it?, or just wanted a new challenge?

From Mark Stevens article in the Herald Sun.

Rose is set to leave the Bulldogs on December 17 to take up a major role in a property development company.

The man who regenerated the Dogs will be CEO of STR Alliance, a company which had a role in developing the Eureka Tower.

Disappointing, but he's been bloody awesome for our club, so he goes with my best wishes.

He's done the job of a lifetime with us, so good luck to you Cam.

Thanks Campbell,
Some people will knock you, but not me. You have been great for us over a long time through very trying times. You helped pulled us out of the muck and were one of the driving forces in the club posting our first profits (ever), the WO redev and changing the public perception of our club, and for that we will forever be greatful. Having visited the club at all hours myself over the years, all I can say is your car was always there late/early, banging your head against a brick wall must also have placed a huge toll on your family (while still living down the Peninsula). Yes we have loan/bank debt which we can clear, but the club has never been healthier except for that flag...

When is it not a trying time at the club?!

He has been phenomenal. Would have liked him to be there at the end of the bulldoze the debt campaign but can't fault the guy. Has done tremendously well and will always be held in high regard.

Perhaps he'll be a panelist on The Footy Show permanently now.

I believe he has been offered at CEO position at property developers/builders Stralliance or Watersun Homes in Docklands. And finishes his club duties mid-December which would tell me that he has parted on good terms.

He did an awesome job. HE managed 90% of a full blown miracle. Redevelopment, Professionalism, Accountability, Stability, Membership and profit!

If he could have bulldozed the dept they would have to make another trip to the vatican...

Club statement now on the website.
This quote sums it all up and was unimaginable 10 years ago;

“Bulldogs members can now focus on growing their Club into a powerhouse rather than worrying about the Club’s survival and whether it would remain with a future in Melbourne - our Club is now in the West forever,” concluded Rose.

how much does a ceo get? 500k-700k max? I would say he would have been offered 3x that in other fields after his perfomence for us

Cannot be too upset. Rose has been brilliant for the club. 8 years is a long stint and I am sure he has had some pretty good offers. Best of luck to him.

Potential new sponsor?

There is no way in hell Campbell was on this coin at the club. Knowing what CEOs get renumerated in other fields (public & private companies) he would have been in the $250-350k range at a NFP org.
(PS: The PM of Australia gets $370k per year):)
