Howat wont come anywhere near to making up for coughlan's loss alone...but a combined effort of nathan foley absolutely having a ripper and howat playing 15+ games could nearly do it.

id take howat over hyde anyday, maybe not the same pace but howat makes up for it when he runs in straight lines and is a very good kick

its dissapointing that a blokes gotta go down for cam to get a go but it will eventually happen so i reckon him and king will be fighting it out for the spot early at coburg which should be good

Howat is overrated.

He isn't in the best 22.

He is small, has not muscle and only got touches against rubbish clubs when the season was already over.

COULDN'T say the season was already over.

Five games out and even as late as two games out (and mathematically one game) we were still a finals chance.

Loss to the Bulldogs was costly!!!

Loss to Hawthorn was worse, but Cam should have been playing instead of Chaffey in a few of those games. Looked great when if got on.

As for Howat, I definitely like the look of him, but he better get an extended opportunity from Terry. He is in the best 22 easily.
