Cameron Ling missing goal from 1 metre dead in front

Does anyone have footage of early in Cam Ling's career when he was about a metre in front of the goals dead in front and sprayed it on the full? I remember pissing myself laughing over it when it happened and mocking Cat fans who had claimed he'd be a gun (turns out they were right).

I remember this, it was his second game. From memory he put it on the full, to much amusement of my Essendon mates.

He may have kicked a goal, but closer to the siren I do recall him taking too long and getting HTTB when he should have snapped an ugly point. I specifically remember throwing a box of crackers accross the room when he did this.

Don't have videos of either. Asfor the OP, it was against Essendon in 2000.

Yeah, terrible in front of goal. I remember that year he kicked 28.6, just shocking.

That Port Adelaide game on debut - the last quarter went just on 24 minutes that night so you can't blame Ling for not putting it through the points. The players back then weren't made aware of how long was left. He probably thought that there were at least three more minutes left.

In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, this was one of the instigators of players being informed of the time remaining.
