LOL how's nadal doing?

By the way, how can you choke against the #1 side in a breeze that both sides seem to have under control?
A weeks rest! 22 points up by half time, kicking into a 3 goal breeze and then losing to a side who had a difficult match last week and easily should be the less fresher of the two sides. Well done on a massive choke! :thumbsu:

Oh mercy, a difficult match, I didn't realise winning by 72 points was difficult. Crows obviously had a few difficult victories this year.

Total power, so quick to pass the choker tag, will take anything he can get.

Port 01,02,03 >>>>>>>> crows 05, 06

These threads are about as hilarious as the "crows" supporters ringing up the quality station that is 5AA and bitching about why welsh and perrie should be cut etc.

P.S Please Fire neil craig, he has no idea :P

It was pretty physical. The bulldogs run and carry game didnt work out, thanks to the west coast. If this game was at subiaco, you'd get done by 10 goals atleast.

agreed, so if you're going to dwell on the past too, I might as well bring up the "dream final" how has that gone down in alberton? 88 times at least

but obviously I am not that petty, get over the fact that crows were beaten by a better side who finished top, despite having to play another final against an injury depleted side at home, and face it, noone is going to accept that the choker tag has been past from port to crows. It's yours for a while to come don't you forget it alberton mob....how those maggies going too :P

Trying to change the conversation?? the window of opportunity you have is rapidly closing. If you cant win it next year, the opportunity will be gone! atleast we won a flag in our good run, you are yet to do that.

Funny Port supporters started this- Port are the biggest chokers of them all so the Crows have a long way to get to your levels.

The only reason we were called chokers in 2002-03 was because we only won 2 finals in that period against Essendon.
The 2nd greatest choke of the 20th Century was the Essendon v Carlton Prelim, unfortunately we drew Essendon in 02-03 and no one gave us credit for shaking the choking tag as we only beat another choker.
Thinking back on that I will plan to record over those tapes as anyone could of beaten Essendon on those occassions, I will also discard the 2000 premiership until another side beats Essendon in a final. :thumbsu:

LOL my manager said to me "you know I think port are closer to winning a GF than the crows are"...this really brought the lols, I didn't realise rising stars won premierships, hello saint kilda....but then again I forget that port "exists to win premierships/finish 12th" so what was I thinking.

window of opportunity as neil craig put it, "that's a cop out"

only the crap teams look at it this way to justify why they aren't performing and why the better teams are.

We made the finals 6 years a row, which is longer than any streak you ever had. You finished 12th in 2004 while we won the flag that year.Does that mean you were **** too? we are rebuilding our side and we are doing it well at the moment.

To the Port Fans having a shot at the Pies about AFL flags, the Pies won the first AFL flag in 1990 if memory serves correct so on that count your teams are 1 flag all.

Hey we had gary ayres, I think everyone, even port supporters can sympathise with that!

Anyway, can you plz link me to the article from 2004 "crows finish 12th - and lovin' it"

I can't seem to find it?

Don't be so cruel, there window finished August this year.
If Bryce Gibbs wants to play for Adelaide he should stay out of this years draft and Adelaide can pick him up next year. :D

In all serious, the whole rebuilding, youth policies etc is bull****. It is keeping your best team on the ground week in week out, team management, momentum, recruiting and getting the best out of what you have.
Collingwood nearly pulled it off this year but poor recruiting is costing them immensely. Adelaide have done everything they could in regards to team management and getting the best out of the team ( Full Kudos to Neil Vraig).
West Coast will be set for another 5 years if they can manage their team right as Judd, Kerr etc are still under 25, imagine this side with 3-4 more years experience. St Kilda, best list in the league, just haven't got the wild cards like the Judd's, Hall's, Cousin's, Pavlich's etc.
You could tinker with just about any of the top 8 sides at the moment and with the right personel you can win a flag. I look at our side, Tredrea fully fit, C Cornes, our midfield, you can build a premiership around that. We did it in 04, we have failed with injuries and bad management in the past two years but when people say we have to rebuild it is laughable as all of our stars are 26 and under, most premiership sides have older experienced players and thats why I thought the Crowqs were a shoe in.
After abnout 7-8 scotches I like to wabber on but I can't see why the hell Port can't contest it in 2007. We were very lucky in 2004 because we3 started off the year with ample injuries and suspensions and I thought we'd miss the boat but unlike other years where we dominated through the minor rounds and got our injuries finals time and cost us a lot and I think the best thing was this and it cost Adelaide a lot this year getting those hiccups around rd 18. Adelaide and West Coast have been the best sides all year, especially Adelaide for the first 15 rounds, inferior % like no other before, the best teamwork I have ever seen but a few injuries and cul8r. The cracks started appearing in the Kangaroos game at Footy Park this year, I went down the rooms a few times this year post-match but noticed that there was a different reaction after this particular game, soreness, no challenge etc It is easy to get complacent and it is so hard to get that drive back when it counts in a finals season, blah blah I'm off

Don't get past the fact that the Camry Canaries have taken choking to a new level - and don't use the injuries as an excuse - you only had 2 genuine players who couldn't be selected - Roo and Hentschel.

WCE aslo had wirripunda and nickoski, but the crowies are like headless chicken now, running around on bay 13! yet to hear from jmorg1 still :D

Love the complete contradiction of Port fans, all week it's been,"WCE will beat you, they are better", most of Australia felt the same way. WC clear favorite in every way shape and form. But oh no, it's a choke because it Adelaide.
But what else can you expect. I'll take it though.

You did choke. You lost the 3rd quarter by 2 goals kicking into a 3 goal breeze. 22 point lead in a low scoring match is no joke (by half time) and you managed to lose by 10 points.Chokers!

You were at the game were you? You know exactly what the wind was doing? The wind was actually very swirly, and nothing like what the flags indicated above the corporate boxes.

Yep we lost, go to town on it....3rd>>>>>>wherever port finished.
