It is going to be pretty tough with the old guys

Dirk Terry Marion and Kidd all have contracts for next year

What alot of people forget is we were missing probably our 2nd best player in Butler and we had massive raps on Beaubois which missed most all the year with injury

Chandler, Butler, JJ, Deshawn, Peja, Haywood, Cardinal are all out of contract

Can see a few clubs chasing our big guys and Butler

I would think we probably dont need all 3 PG's in JJ, Kidd Beaubois so i can see one of those will go and we wont sign Peja after his average Final series

What are people's thoughts who will leave and is there any chance of signing somebody

no chance. definetely a 1hit wonder which in no way is a 'slight', but had everyone firing at the right time, at the ends of their careers.

they need a dynamic point guard scorer or 2 guard like josh howard (but not as erratic)

Deron Williams would be awesome

The big key for Dallas was the bench if they can keep some players and have a fit Butler can not see why they couldnt i think they have shown they are always a chance

I think they can, but they will be far from favourite. Again I think going into the season/playoffs next season, Miami, Chicago, Lakers and Oklahoma will be considered the 4 favourites. Boston, Dallas and Orlando will be the next 3 depending on how each of their respective seasons go, with NY also an outside chance.

Having said that, there is no way Dallas was even close to favourite going into this years playoffs, therefore yes it is possible, anything can happen in playoffs :thumbsu:

Chandler, Butler, JJ, Deshawn, Peja, Haywood, Cardinal are all out of contract

- Doubt Cuban would let Chandler just go.
- Haywood just signed 6 years before this season.
- Butler has stated he wants to sign with the team
- Barea, same as Butler
- DeShawn's minutes diminished dramatically as soon as Rodrigue Beaubois
returned to the starting line up from injury, plus Corey Brewer can easily
replace DeShawn as the starting defensive shooting guard.
- Peja seemed a "sign and see how we go replacement for Butler" contract
- Not concerned about Cardinal

Too hard to say before we know all the post season moves. Definately wouldn't write them off, but it might be hard to replicate the hunger.

FWIW losing Butler might actually have helped them. Really good player but I thought he could be a bit of a black hole on offense at times.

They could, don't see why not.

But will be very hard, West is always so competitive and will be again.

Terry might retire.

Some team will pay for Berea. He's gone.

Chandler also will get seriously paid. I'm not sure he will be back either.

Those are probably the two guys that aside from Dirk helped win this series the most.

Depends on who the Mavs get to replace the guys they will lose. They will make a big play for both Dwight and Paul. Dwight and Dirk is probably the most complementary front court that could ever be put together. If Dallas somehow manages to get Dwight, they will be huge.

My tip is OKC to win the West but Dallas could repeat.

Dirk is still the key and they will have the bulk of the same squad come back. Why not?
