Can Port win a premiership under Ken Hinkley?

Yes they did you clown, those coaches reached a point in time where the supporter base (and all the other stakeholders) realised they wouldn't lead their team to a flag, and got fed up and they got moved on to try something new. Obviously at some point for both of those cases it paid off with a premiership too.

We're in unprecedented territory because no other team has been dumb enough to keep banging their head against a wall when something hasn't worked for this long.

Wanting your team to not be average for eternity isn't being a bad supporter. What a joke.
You're the clown

I didn't read anything else you posted.

You're a big zero.

Find yourself another sport where everyone wins a prize.

Your nearly man who has won 2 flags and made 3 grand finals? Geez, I couldn't possibly spot the difference between the 2.
And until 2022 the rhetoric from fans of all neutral clubs was that that first flag was Bomber's team, and the 2020 GF was covid affected. We'd topped up and constantly fallen short and were then harshly critiqued for it.

You can say all you want, he got that length of time because he had a flag on the board and prelims. If he hadn't won a flag let alone even made a GF, you'd have moved him on after a couple of those failures in prelims. Highlighting 2020 doesn't help your argument, it detrimental. There's never been a bigger free kick in AFL history than 2020 and 2021 for PAFC and Hinkley, by being able to stay home whilst everyone else was locked away up north and depressed yet he still couldn't get us to a GF in either. 2021 was even worse, he should have been sacked after that prelim and cleaning out his locker.

2020 and 2021 PA sound eerily like 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019 or 2021.
He stayed because he worked for a CEO that has never sacked a coach. Not at WCE, not with us and hasn't yet at the Blues.

It's eerily the same except the fact he stayed because he won a flag. It's not hard to understand that success gets you a massive run on the board. We've won 2 finals since 2014, no other club would put up with this but here we are being told we should be happy.

Just for a second, imagine Geelong's 2021 contract negotiations with Chris Scott but he's never taken Geelong to a GF and you've had 2 finals wins in the last 7 years. Ooh wait there wouldn't have been any negotiations as it would have expired, and everyone parted ways amicably (if he was even still there by 2021).

these posts are a fascinating study on loser culture within sports fans it is genuinely interesting. imagine if Roy Hodgson had been at Liverpool ever since 2010 and he'd done nothing but lose a few Semi Finals, the same thing would be happening, Crystal Palace and Wolves fans would be like "he's great! you guys haven't won it for 30 years anyway! you should be happy with what you have!"

(Fremantle and North Melbourne fans, you are the Crystal Palace and Wolves fans in that scenario, just to keep you up to speed)

If Hinkley was an EPL manager he'd have been sacked 10 times over by now.

If you believe that you are dumber than he is.
Take me out of it and canvas the site then.

The first 50 ladder predictions for 2024 were as follows for PA:

11 5 6 9 4 4 6 10 10 11 15 1 13 10 7 5 6 2 3 7 10 7 7 2 12 16 11 6 8 5 8 2 11 13 7 10 7 3 5 10 8 7 9 7 9 13 6 10 4 11

Mean: 389/50 = 7.78
Median: 7
Mode: 7

Seems like most thought you were a team that should just squeak into finals.

To be fair given your trade period, also did the 50 after the end of trade period.

4 11 7 6 7 4 12 6 12 10 8 6 5 10 10 4 11 6 6 6 4 10 8 5 10 7 2 11 4 8 8 8 7 6 7 12 6 5 12 11 10 3 14 7 9 5 10 5 6 5

Mean: 366/50 = 7.32
Median: 7
Mode: 6

Seems like the masses thought you'd slightly improve but my thoughts on 7-12 aren't too far from the mark.

Pretty nuts how you don't think the site's perception of our chances this year might have anything to do with the coach.

Pretty nuts you think he's the issue and not the squad that scares no one.
His coaching just got a W and the hardest place in footy. Coach of the year contender.

His coaching is about as ineffective and middle of the road as your trolling.

One of the members of that squad scared your coach so much last week that he subbed a player on to tag him halfway through the second quarter. And that guy is probably the third or fourth best midfielder in our squad.

Should be in the top 4 by Sunday with a 7-12 squad.
Would be favourite for coach of the year atm
Have to feel sorry for nieve Cat fans. When Port beat you at home, then you're season is over. You have been flat tracked. Most teams never recover as our history of not beating contending teams continues.

You were just slagging Port fans for being the worst in the league, because they were ungrateful for years old finals, so bringing up the exact same rhetoric & then trying to argue that the main rhetoric was against Scott, even amongst Cats fans is quite silly. Cats fans must be pretty awful for the same sins as "the worst supporters" in the league. It's almost as if it's probably a rhetoric that could arise in any supporter base given the right circumstances.
