After just signing Aaron Hamil for 4 years, St. Kilda has the awkward task of arranging contracts for several players before the end of the year, such as:
F. Gherig
L. Hayes
N. Reiwolt
J. Kochitske
L. Ball
B. Goddard
N. Dal Santo
X. Clarke
Could St.K loose one of their prized draft picks to salary cap pressure? What a joke it would be, given they have achieved only a pre-season premiership. However, a team such as Essendon might be capable of delivering a favourable trade for St. Kilda when you consider recent comments from Sheedy. Thoughts?

I know you're new here mate, but this topic has been so many damn times in last couple of months! Just search through the site and you'll find a few threads about this.

The only way they are going to stay together is if their players take paycuts as i cant see all their stars fitting into the salary cap if they are all on good money.
Signing Hamill for 5 years on a big contract is a huge mistake and could place a huge financial pressure on the salry cap.

5 years - a huge risk. Just look at Essendon's problem in the last 3 years with Mark Mercuri - 2nd in the Brownlow in 99 but not much since except last Sat night (BTW my fav player). I am not a troll but a realist and am a great rap for Hamill at the moment. 3 years max!
