Why didn't you say that in the first place!

I derive a sick twisted kinda satisfaction from making fellow posters agonise over whether or not I'm stirring the pot or providing genuine information :p

Bad news for you 112 - Judd will be named Captain with Stevo as VC. Dont believe the Co-captain stuff either

I guess we'll find out if those threads with the inside word on who will be captain are correct.. although by picking either Judd or Stevens you do have prob a 50% chance of being correct.

For me I'd love Simpson to do it.. but I would not be surprised with Fev coming out of contract this year they use the captaincy as a reason to get him to re-sign early this year then if he doesn't make a good captain we at least have him contracted.

Are you ok?

According to the Herald Sun website it's Chris Judd.
Not trying to troll but if I was a Blues fan I don't know how I'd feel if a player that hadn't even played a game for the club was named captain. Having said that, he is one of (if not the) best player in the competition so it is the obvious choice.

According to the Herald Sun

CHRIS Judd is the new captain of Carlton. The Blues have called a press conference for this afternoon to announce his appointment.
The game's most brilliant player, a high-profile recruit from West Coast Eagles, will replace the retired Lance Whitnall in the role.

Judd, 24, was captain of the Eagles for two seasons and led the club to the 2006 AFL Premiership.

Since making his AFL debut for the Eagles against Collingwood in Round 2 of 2002, Judd has become one of the game's most decorated players.

He won the 2004 Brownlow Medal, the Norm Smith Medal in the 2005 Grand Final, the Eagles Best and Fairest and has been selected in the All Australian team.

The former Caulfield Grammar School pupil left the Eagles to return to Melbourne after the 2007 season and was the subject of a four-way battle between Collingwood, Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton before opting for the Blues.

He has been battling a groin injury which has hampered his pre-season work and and he has yet to appear in Carlton colurs.

Did I claim inside knowledge? No. But I will guarantee you it is Judd as skipper, Stevo as VC, with no DVC (just the 4 from the leaders group).
