Our next captain is most likely to be Mclean but personally i would rather see an older more experienced player captain the dees. i know he is very close to the end of his career but i would love to see somebody like junior to maybe co captain with brock. or maybe bruce or robbo lead. thoughts?
 
Would love to see Brad Green as the next skip. has been great this year when all the other players have been crap and inconsistant. McLean is too young to be skip and still needs a few years. Has not had a great year and his temper has let us down a few times this year. When Brad Green took those huge pack marks earlier in the year (not just on one occasion), running back with the flight in the last line of defence, that just exemplified his leadership. Dont no how he is around the club but woud be an excellent skip for me.

Jeff White??? aka mr sideways i love the bloke his is a great mark and good kick for a big bloke. But everytime we get the ball in the midfield no doubt there is the big 34 waving his hands wanting the ball sideways run in front of the ball mate. Would love to see robbo be captain in his twlight years after Neitz.
 
McLean already looks like he's being groomed for the role. Bruce seems to be the only other alternative
 
I would like to see Bruce or Green as Captain. These two blokes have been great for the club over tha past few years and would have learnt alot from the big fella.
Then after these two boys are gone l would be looking at someone like Jones.
 
As someone suggested before he's clearly being groomed for the role. An increased amount of media work and him coming out and stating some harsh truths about the club has all been part of it
 
Let neitzy play on for two more years and be the captain... in 2 years time we should be looking to do what the kangaroos did with carey and appoint a 21-22 year old captain.. my choice.....

Nathan Jones- will be a star in and under midfielder.... with his deputy being Mclean or someone like that

McLean's form suggest he isn't ready yet for the captaincy. If not Neitz next year, then give it to McDonald, Bruce or Green for a year or two, then McLean when he's ready.

Exactly right. McLean doesnt look ready to be captain yet. With all this extra scrutiny and pressure on him, he is being noticed more by other clubs and are tagging him. He cannot deal with a good tagger which was evident in the kangaroos and port game where he got a total of bout 7 kicks. Green and/or Bruce to be the next captain/s for a few years and then McLean when he fully develops into a star player. he is still too young and learning the game
 
I'd personally keep Neita on for captain for another year if he stays fit then give it to McLean.
If Neita isn't fit I'd give it to Green for 2-3 years.
 
imo jonesy in a few years should be our captain...as i have heard on the board he looked like the only player giving it his all against port on the w/e
