Could some kind Sir please inform me of this captaincy loophole?
Is it when I have a player (i.e. Stanton) as my VC and if I'm happy with his score (and want it doubled), I put the C on a non-playing player (i.e. Stevie J)?
V goddard C boyd. Swan v port looks good to. Ive only got goodes and vlas who might miss since ive traded selwood and birch out. If im happy with goddards score and switch the C to goodes and he misses, the emergency on the bench score wont count right?
The emergency WILL count, however their score won't be doubled, the vice captain's score will.
More importantly what are people considering a break even before giving the C back to gaz or swanny
IMO its 115 but its close
I'm still undecided whether or not to use this loophole tonight. I could put SJ on the field but then my Emergency is being used automatically and with all the late withdrawals this year, I'm not sure if I want to risk it.
It might backfire and I do think my options in Watson, Goddard and Heppell will do well tonight but I think i'm happy to back Ablett/Swan in and have back up on my bench incase I get a late withdrawal.
I can see where you're coming from. I think you need to weigh up if the extra points are worth the risk and whether or not there will be extra points in it. For me, I don't see a huge risk of late outs with my forward line. I for one don't have Cloke which would be the most obvious of the lot. The rest of my forward line is quite similar to my opponents this week and it's an important league game for me so the way I see it, is if there is a late withdrawal, my opponent will probably have them as well and his back up is Mayes who I don't think will get up for this week so it'll be a stale mate which is fine by me as I'm not in the top 1000 which makes it basically impossible to go for overall these days.
Stanton will be my vice, so for him it's either go huge, or nothing at all. Could be a big bonus if he gets 140+ which I wouldn't put past him against our mob at the moment
I don't care if GAJ is playing in a knee deep flood, I'll still back him in to score 130+.This is for the normal captaincy in this post ...
Showers/Rain in Gold Coast today to Sunday morning (Ablett). <---- Saturday afternoon game
Shower or 2 in Adelaide tomorrow & Possible shower Saturday (Swan). <---- Saturday afternoon game
Possible shower tomorrow & Saturday in melbourne (Boyd). <---- Saturday night game
How many will go Boyd as captain vs Melbourne?

Not going for the loophole as I don't think Heppell, Hibberd nor Goddard will score 120+. Hope they do but don't think they will.
Going for Swan overall captain over Ablett also. Thinking Swan will score more against a Port side with better weather than an Ablett will in rain and against Van Berlo.
