We've now seen some of the candidates in action this year... it would be interesting to see if the opinion of who should be captain has altered.

For the record, the last poll had:

Bowden 11
Johnson 17
Richo 10
Brown 7

For mine, I think Flavour Flav should be the next captain of RFC. 2 Live Crew would make a formidable centre line and therefore should all be vice captains.

I was with you all the way until you ruined your credibility by backing these guys.

And I think you're making a gigantic generalisation when it comes to Bowden. He's been a good AFL player for a long time, and I'd rate him alongside Johnson. He's not at all soft.

That said, Johnson looks set to get the job. I hope he goes well, the only question mark might be injuries, but I suppose any player can get injured these days.

I must admit ,much of my Bowden bashing can be put down to trolling.

He's far from my fave player but I acknowledge the fact he improved his consistancy last season and therefore deserves a stay of execution.

Johnson reminds me of Brodders in his professionalism and dedication but imo
falls shy of the latter.

I have no problem with him gaining the captaincy by default.
