one thing I'm really happy to see is the team has belief, the past 10 odd years we didn't know how to win, a good club would think they could break us and dive for a few free kicks or lay a couple of rough tackles and the whole team would take a step back (see Dogs, Eagles, Hawks games in the past few years especially).
The leadership on and off field and the sports psychology, while not perfect yet, has taken a huge leap forward this off season.
Sayers remade the club's executive and it looks like that unity and clear out has enabled the football dept. to focus on winning and not point scoring against internal opponents.
Our next match is against one of our worst vanquishers in recent history, favouritism (also hawthorn).
Recent history is littered with examples of Carlton having a good game or two then going in favourites, only to stumble badly against an otherwise poor team (crows, north last year, Essendon in the top up season etc.).
