I don't mean to be rude, but why would anyone bet with you, they can get much better odds on most if not all horses in the race at the TAB. To be a bookmaker you have to offer decent odds to attract betting. You would have $0 bet with u and therefore end up with $0. I suggest you reframe your market, using the TAB as a template.

Well I'll start you off with $1000 the win on Master O'Reilly at the $6 and have $500 the place on Blue Monday at $14. Hopefully more people will do this and we can see if you can come out ahead. No doubt Starz will be interested in the $9 for Zipping.

Interesting to see you don't rate Efficient or Mahler. The $30 about Efficient is very attractive and I'm sure you'll reel in some cash for him. In fact, it's too good to refuse. I agree with Mahler - the combination of a 3yo and having never run in this country makes him well unders from where I sit. Reckon your $25 is closer to where he should be.

In a two horse race of evenly matched competitors the fair odds would be even money for both of two. This means that horse 1 would win 50% of the time and horse 2 would win 50% of the time. Add them up and you get 100%. Now no bookie or agency is going to give you those odds otherwise how do they make money?

So you are more likely to see both at odds of $1.90, though the relative probablity of this event is actually 52.63%. Add them together and you've got a book that's set at a little over 105%
