Way, way, way too much coverage of the Silvagni vs. Horne-Francis 'clash'.

Media has blatantly tried Jack to sound like the bad guy. He was hit behind play and mouthed off to JHF. Who then goes and tells the media about it? Furthermore, we've spent 15 years being told we're shit, do people honestly think players aren't going to relish doing the same?

Yeah, shook hands and left it out there until he tells the media about it. Stood up for his teammates despite hitting Silvagni behind play?

Dunno why this has bothered me, but it has.
Conclusion....All the Carlton haters are worried...very worried

Love it

I drove past Windy Hill one day and would you believe I ran into a burning house and saved a family of 7. And then I started walking all dazed and confused and I heard an elderly lady frantically screaming,”My Cats stuck up the tree! My Cats stuck up the tree!”, so I saved the Cat, and the Cat was pregnant so I delivered a litter of kittens. And then I saw a burglary, so I went into the house and disarmed the burglar and waited until the police arrived.

I don’t know what came over me that day but I credit it to the brave members of * Football Club.

Sticking up for team mates apparently involves swinging your first like a windmill from behind when the opposition player is dishing off a handball.

Needs to get that crap out of his game. It's not the 1970s FFS

The media can call it whatever they like; it was the first time in a long time that we broke a side down mentally. Despite the cheap shots; I loved every minute of it.

It was interesting, very noticeable in the 3rd qtr.

I believe they came out with a plan to take it up to us physically, trying to take us mentally out of the contest. Instead all it did was take them out of the contest.

I wonder what the commentator thought was so funny about the late hit on Jack?

Good to see Nick Graham stick up for CFC.

Was virtually BOG every/most weeks in the VFL, could have also become a solid AFL player. Victim of CFC development and Malthouse me thinks.

Also, that second video where Kennedy is hit high, had Kennedy stayed down on one knee for a few seconds and rubbed his head, JFH would be close to being reported, but he took it like a boss and kept going.

Should have given him a post match concussion test.

Got to love Ross Lyons sour grapes...

Loved his boyhood club and we had a great list, when he was in the hunt for the job...
Got rejected now on MMM or Footy Classified he puts us and Cripps down as much as he can...

I just saw a video of Ross Lyon on FC after our win against the Bulldogs. Claims he’s relieved he didn’t get the job in case it goes south in the future lol. In the same segment he claimed not to know who our captain was (most likely he didn’t want to start ranting about Patrick Cripps for no reason), and then when he was told it was Cripps, he started ranting about his 8KG weight gain.

Yeah. Really p!ssed off about the JSOS v JHF reporting.

How many times over the last 20 years have we been sledged by opposition teams for being sh!t? and rightly so..no reporting on that.

Then JHF hits two players with cheap shots who were playing the ball, and all and sundry laugh it off and say he's should be applauded for being competitive.

This is just me, but I really don't give a flying fig for what is said in wider media. I love being hated. All I want is for the club to continue to develop good ethics and culture, with good on-field results at all levels (AFL, AFLW, VFL), and our wider programmes developing further. In that way we can give the metaphorical middle finger to all who 'hate us'. Respected and hated is fine with me. We are Carlton, f**k the rest...

Interesting story on the ABC website about "How team mates forge unspoken disposal bonds in the quest for AFL success" which includes a paragraph between "How the link between Walsh & Cripps pays off". The gist of it is that Cripps has handballed to Walsh 24 times this year (2nd most from one player to another). More importantly for Carlton, the blues have scored 40 points from these chains, by far the best outcome in the league.

Here are some pretty graphs and tables from that article:

Sometimes a literal one works too...
