Was there in the Southern Stand. Spotted Kouta running forward pointing to Murphy where he wanted him to kick it. Murph paused to give Kouta time to get there - Murph launched the footy into the air - and the rest is history.

PS - It was so obvious he was going to take the mark - I may have been standing up screaming “KOUTAAAAAAAA” before he leapt in the air lol………………….

Sam Walsh guest On The Couch
next Monday nite. 😊
For 100th game.

Looking at footage...
Both Vossy and Walshy should let their freak flags fly a bit more.

Longer hair! Camon. Both have very severe short cuts atm.
Sam look like the unfortunate army kid from the sticks type character in an old movie.
And I can't concentrate on what Vossy is saying cos I'm looking at his bad haircut!
The Carlton barber strikes again!
( ruined Cerra's hair too)🤔

What?
Hair is important!
I'm a horse. I should know.
Absolutely!

A bloke has to flaunt it while he can.

Teens and twenties sported a flowing, wavy mullet to be proud of. Demanding the classic old style headband for presentation, practicality and perspiration.

Not too many years later gray and receding to meet the bald patch on top. Will be a close contest to see if it ultimately ends up an unkempt off white or total nude nut.

Not sure of the recent fascination for close cuts, some verging on Mohawks. If one has decent plumage, it should be on display. It spends too many years in decline later in life for so very many of us…

The all Australian show on fox footy was interesting last night. Was pretty much the selectors talking about who was in the mix (top 60) this early in the season. Was done a few weeks ago before we really hit top form so there was no great appetite for Carlton players.

Harry, Crippa and Charlie got a mention. Nathan Buckley pushed for Nic Newman as one from left field.

All-Australian selector Nathan Buckley has confirmed that Carlton’s Jacob Weitering was discussed in the panel’s mid-year meeting.

Fox Footy released a video on Wednesday titled, ‘Inside All-Aus deliberations’ as the footage picked up the panel discussing 76 players that they felt were either ‘locks’ to be picked so far or a ‘watch’ - which was players who could be potential inclusions come the end of the season.
Buckley says that Weitering’s name just didn’t come through on the video and that the Blue – who has never previously been named an All-Australian – is in his starting 22 to the midway point of the campaign.

Wasn't mentioned at all. There was a discussion about the key back spots and Jacob didn't get a mention.
According to Buckley on SEN that was an oversight by the Fox Footy team.

He is in the prospective squad atm

It's a bit strange. Early in the show Glenn Jakovic talked about Pearce from Freo saying that he's having a great season and that Pearce and Sam Taylor have about the same coaches votes and "I think that they're the two for the full back position at the moment".

So Weitering wasn't in that discussion and wasn't in the carlton discussion. Buckley suggests that the Fox editing left his name out. I'd suggest that selectors just forgot him and are now covering.

Carlton has a 17-2 record since 2023 when Fog plays. 89% win rate - highest individual win rate in the league.

Lachie 'The Barometer' Fogarty 🔥🔥
Love the chart at the bottom of the article that has every team's 'barometer'. North - Curtis Taylor. Every time he plays they have won 21% of games..... i'm not sure whats worse the journalism reaching for a player in a team that hasnt won for years and calling him a barometer or North, that that is their player with a highest % individual win rate

What did dick mcguane say this time

"Let’s be clear, Carlton fans: You’re not the complete package just yet.
The Blues’ defensive profile is still in need of some work if they are to make a strong charge to September and beat the best teams."

"The Blues might sit second on the ladder at their bye, but they are not my second seed behind premiership favourite Sydney.
I’ve still got Collingwood ahead of Carlton — a team which beat the Blues in round 9 and still has significant upside to come when key players return from injury."

Overall doesn't comprehend our injury run (and the impact it had on our defensive structures) but does factor in the Pies latest injury crisis. Admits rather saltily we could potentially finish top 4 this year.
