The largest study in the world in Denmark, included about half a million kids and kids were as likely to develop autism whether they were vaccinated or not. The "vaccine causes autism" myth started in the late 90s and was retracted early 2000s but unfortunately you have people like Jenny McCarthy who jumped on board the "MMR vaccine causes autism" despite statistics and studies showing she is incorrect.

People who say "look at the rates of autism since 1900" don't realise that its because they can detect it better, and they recognise what it is. Numbers for ADHD and depression have gone up as well. My friends Grampa said depression didn't exist back in his day. Then he would tell me how he got home post war, and was "really really sad for a really long time" and described, you guessed it, depression symptoms.

Long term I’d say there is some evidence that vaccines aren’t completely safe.

Nonetheless, vaccines do have a place in this world when you consider the lives they save.

I don’t see the need for a flu vaccine to be made mandatory when you consider 70-80% of the population will voluntarily take it.

The vaccine limits chance of dying, getting sick and spreading the virus. Given how dangerous the delta variant is and how quickly its spread 90% vaccine rate may be needed to achieve herd immunity.

Plus the more people dilly dally and refuse to get vaccinated and spread it the greater the chance of the it jumping the vaccine undoing all the good work done so far by people getting vaccinated.

Do even more research. If you are vaccinated, your contagious period drops significantly. Moreso, people who vaccinated so far in studies are less likely to catch covid than unvaccinated, and then on top of that symptoms are significantly milder.

At minimum, vaccinations will prevent our hospital system getting ******* obliterated like countries overseas have been. The countries struggling the most? Ones with a large anti-vaccination group.

Research in England and in The Netherlands has also shown that an un-vaccinated person is no greater threat than a vaccinated person in passing on the virus to other people. I’ve had my jabs so it makes absolutely no difference to me whether the person next to me has been vaxed or not.
