LOL, of course you tanked, we did too, it has to be done unfortunantly, the trick is getting to the bottom quickly when you realise your current team isnt going to win a flag, just like we did in 05.

As I said, I haven't completely ruled it out but most people simply ignore just how bad we were.

Most avid watchers of AFL and moreover Carlton can attest to just how bad we were as a list. Had no leadership to boot. Was terrible times.

Half of our list wouldn't have been on any other list in the AFL at times IMO. Says it all.

But we digress...

I 100% agree with thy, in that the current team is not playing for the coach as they should be. The evidence is there, how many half hearted efforts have we seen over the past few years. The brilliance of Judd has covered up many of the current problems with our club, including this one.

The players don't play for Ratts, imo, because they don't believe in what he is selling to them in terms of game strategy, imo.

I was just jokingly pointing out that when I make that criticism, it constitutes as anti-Carlton Ratten bashing. But when thy says it there is nothing but silence from our BF yes men.

I saw our players play for Ratts a number of times in 2010, no more so than the EF against Sydney, when we were dead & buried a couple of times & yet got into a winning position & then in a position to send the game into extra time.

If you want to see a team that didn't play for their coach, look at Carlton circa 2007 or even Essendon circa 2010.

Of course the jury is still out on Ratts. .. As it should be on anyone at his and the clubs stage of development. .. I'm probably more 60-40 on Ratts tho. .. He has done enough for me to think he can take the side to the next level (top 4) but whether he can translate into a premiership, is another thing. .. Perhaps it will take a, geelong like, player movement to push the club to the glory we all hope for. ..

It could have been worse... let's face it, if you had to be banned from the first few rounds of 2 consecutive drafts in the past 10 years the 2 drafts you'd choose to miss out on were '02 and '03.
