No, this is not another of those draft threads. This is not debating about who to get and players' strengths and weaknesses.

It's the countdown thread for tomorrow's draft and then as the draft happens we can debate our selections/pick ups all in the one thread.

So, anyone getting excited? Must admit there are a few little butterflies fluttering. This could be one of the most important drafts in our history, could really set us up for some success.

Let the countdown begin: 10 and a half hours to go!!

First real experience of listening to the draft was last year. It is an exciting time in footy for the die hard fans that's for sure.

Hopefully the guys recruited tomorrow serve the Carlton football club well for years to come.

yeah sadly that gives us an hour on SEN for idiots like Anthony Hudson to sprout his usual drivel..
It's amazing to consider that someone like Anthony Hudson is a respected footy journo, I think he's actually a football nerd in all honesty

I really like him as a caller - adds a lot of excitement, has a good callers pitch. Expect him to go early 3rd round.

I'd trade him for old school draft pick in Sandy Roberts or Peter Landy ..

Now they were great callers

I miss Sandy and his eccentric commentary IE one day calling a speccy an 'aerial biscuit'

With our later picks, now that we've got yazza penciled in at pick 6, should we go for more talls/KPP's or midfielders, or just pick the best available talent as to what's left with our later picks (i favour the latter option, always go for the best remaining talent)

Watching the draft live on Bigpond, pretty decent coverage so far. Bring on the draft!

Man the momentum towards Hurley is swinging again, especially if the rumours are true that Essendon will draft Sidebottom ...

Considering how much time Ratts has watched Hurley in the TAC Cup, if he is still available at pick 6, we'll nab him I believe.

Either way, Hurley or Yarran, it's win win for Carlton
