Amazing how someone like sam or tim Lane or even Malthouse can engender a following without too much bias - yet someone like carro just invokes across the board bile -

Don't know why this is such a big issue. The article seems more statement of fact than anything else.

Im certainly not number one ticket holder in the Caro fan club, but if your going to fling shit (however eloquently you may dress it up) at least make it over a worthwhile topic.

Your right on that. If negative articles made teams play better, we wouldnt have lost a game in the last 5 yrs.

There was nothing in there that should get them revved up. If they need an article to rev them up with where they are on the ladder and how they are playing then, there is something to write an article. I think that they will be jumping out of the skins. We jst need to get on top and smash there resistence early. So they roll over.

Still to this day, I don't believe I have ever seen Caro write about on-field matters. She concentrates purely on off-field issues, the politics of the AFL. I still can't believe she is the chief footy writer at The Age.
 
All this article tells me , is that the dees have a massive debt , thats only getting bigger ? nothing here to suggest the dees will fire up , If they are going to fire up it is because they think that they can win this game , and fair enough if they did !

I doubt they've got the form over the past few weeks to really fire up. If you saw any of there game last week, they couldn't hit the side of a barn with their disposal.
 
I don't think 'clever' is the word to use in the thread title. More like 'manipulative'. She'll do anything to see Carlton perform well, you can see when she said something along the lines of "it was great to see Carlton perform well yesterday," on 'Footy Classified' on Monday, that she was lying through her teeth.

Sack this silly b*tch now!

I'm sick of copping so much crap from her as a Carlton supporter, it's about time we, as true supporters stood up and said something for the little people, for the people that don't write whatever they want and have it published, for the people who actually make up the AFL (the fan basis), and of course, for the Carlton Football Club!
