Carpark BBQ's

I was just wondering how many people on the Adelaide board do the carpark BBQ reguraly or have done one before? It's something I love doing as it's just a full on day talking, playing and watching footy! It would just be interesting to see how many fans do it.

We do it for all saturday afternoon & night matches. Never on a sunday.

Unfortunately it means there's always one that is designated driver .. luckily we have a pissweak mate who always ends up driving

Gotta love the sensible drinker who always gives in "for the good of the team". Only Sunday's I do are twilight games, otherwise too hard for early matches.

Nah, we usually park and head over to West Lakes mall.The BBQs smell SOOO good though :d

We do most matches. I think having a carpark BBQ is a great part of the going to the football. It's great to take the full day off just to sit, talk and watch the footy.

No BBQ here, usually meet a few mates in the West Lakes car park for a few pre match drinks, none of us are organised enough to do the BBQ thing!

Yeah Seaton High is where it's at. Park there, saunter on up to AAMI.

always have a bbq in the carpark, although have also done 'curries in the carpark' a couple of times which are fantastic, particularly for night games.

Hmm that's strange, how many games do you go to? Do you walk thru areas where people are having barbies? Because at Seaton High there's always young groups setting up and kicking the footy, we've even been challenged to a 5 on 5 footy match before

On the oval outside AAMI there are a few of the oldies but I'd say I see plenty more young people with their BBQ's , eskies & footys

I never bother with the bbq - normally it's Hina Curry in the West Lakes food court for me.

Yep i would agree with this. I see plenty of young people (around the 18 to 24 age bracket) having BBQ at the footy as we walk across the Max Basheer reserve.

Me – only ever had the one BBQ and that was before the West Coast preliminary final game. Normally don’t have time as other things get in the way plus it beings back some horrendous memories of that day.

Yep, BBQ before/after depending on the time of the game. Always get there early and stay late having a few bevvies to miss the traffic. We park in the same area as the players so we get to see them on their way to their cars after the game, often have a chat(mainly after wins) with a few of them.

That sounds awesome mate, where abouts do you park? Is it in the members carpark at all?
