Cats at unbackable odds

PUNTERS should steer clear of the Cats if they want value for their bets this week.
Geelong is at unbackable odds to beat Richmond in the clash between first and last at Skilled Stadium on Saturday, while its top medal fancies, Gary Ablett and Joel Selwood, are now in the red for the Brownlow and NAB Rising Star respectively.
Ablett's Brownlow odds were slashed to $1.80 by Tabsports following another best on ground performance against Fremantle last weekend, while Selwood is at $1.22 to win the Rising Star award after his main rival, Collingwood young gun Scott Pendlebury, went down with a fractured foot on Saturday night.
The Cats were yesterday paying just $1.07 to beat Richmond in head-to-head betting with Tabsports, but those odds are expected to trim further during the week.
The Tigers, who were beaten by a record 157 points by Geelong the last time the two teams met, were paying $6.50 for the win yesterday and a massive $45 if they were to beat the Cats by over 39.5 points.
The Cats, in contrast, were showing just $2.20 to win by 60 points or more and $1.50 to win by over 39.5.

Who writes these stupid articles? This guy obviously has no idea about sports betting. If the cats were unbackable, then you wouldn't be able to back them. Nothing starts out as unbackable... They might become unbackable fairly quickly on Betfair though if the game goes as I think it might.
