I see urquhart from springbank, palmer skipton g.lukich bungaree and schiltz gordon have still only played 2 games. Any word on if we will see them again and in finals?
 
Learmonth on shaky ground in the top 8. Games to come might all go against them letting Bungaree or Buninyong sneak in past them.
Clunes imploded so only the Demons or Bombers left in the finals chase.

Hearing some talk of absolutely stupid offers for 2026 coming out of Hepburn. EDFL and WRFL guys can’t get a regular senior game at their clubs or part of struggling DIV 2 teams yet offers are extraordinary. Seems the recruiters have more $$ than sense. 1 player I know for a fact would be 20% of the cap. Plus a sign on. My oh my. Self destruct.

I back in Hepburn. Successful club that usually get it right. Won't be in the bottom half for to long
 
Whispers about that Creswick have appointed a new coach. Darren Leech shifting over from Lake Wendouree. Unclear if Borchers has stepped down, been removed or is working jointly with Leech.
 
Clay Smith, I’ve heard it was best for both parties to part ways.

Thoughts on the crowd and the game?
From what im hearing skipton clearly the better side... impressive from a team who were 0-2

Crowd much improved on last year, don’t think there were many left behind in Skipton, plus it was a much better day for it.
Tight tussle to 1/2 time, Daylesford came out and kicked the first 2 and I think most in the crowd who were not Skipton were “here we go”.
Then Skipton kicked the next 7 and put it to bed.
Jesse Palmer kicked 3 of those, 5 for the day and was deservedly awarded BOG. Good mid-season pickup for them.
 
Well done to the Emus. Great to see an old Western Plains / Lexton Plains team finally ascend to the top.

Any news on the recruiting front?

Have Gordon appointed a coach yet? Would be a pretty in demand job you would imagine.

Hearing Hepburn have promoted the 2's coach to co-coach with a player.

I see Josh McDermott from Beaufort has left the league for Talbot. Used to be a very good ruckman, has he still got any petrol left in the tank?
