Are there any?

This poor bloke has become the new whipping boy and I was just wondering if he has any fans out there.

Not asking you to defend him, just whether you support him.

I thought he was a very solid player a few years back but he seems to have really dropped off.

Feel sorry for the bloke, becuase he has great endeavour, and a very raw head...

I used to be a fan, not so much anymore. Agree that he really has dropped off in the past couple of seasons.

he has no idea at the minute, is a big turnover culprit. i'd say he will be on wallace's hit list come the season's end, it might be his last year at punt road.

I used to be a fan, he was a pretty good player for us from 2000-2003. He generally used the ball well and read it coming into defence very well, had good courage also. I had him right up there with Aussie Jones, Joel Smith and Chris Johnson in that small defender role.

For some reason though 2004 went to complete poo for him, still got plenty of stats, but used the ball so badly. Was a player who desperately needed to be dropped to find form but ended up playing every match bar round 1 through suspension.

He's playing a very new role this year so I'm prepared to give him the first month or two, but if he hasn't lifted by then, I don't see a future at the club for him. He would have trade value though.

Is no good under pressure and is one of our clanger kings along with kellaway, hall and gaspar. We will be going nowhere fast with all these guys in the side.

One thing that left him, together with his kicking skill, was his ability to mark. He used to have a pretty good leap and took some real courageous marks around 2001-2003. Thought it was a real standout feature of his game.

Didn't see much of that last year.

On average Chaffey, Gaspar, Kellaway and Hall would turnover the ball with an obvious miskick almost once every match. They all did it in the first quarter last week lol. Usually we would see about 3 very bad miskicks in defence in a match. Do you think 3 is alot? I'm being realistic here, I won't exhaggerate like most Richmond supporters or rate a talented player only on the one mistake he does in a match usually ;)

You must have loved ben marsh and simon fletcher then.
We've had our fair share of players I haven't thought were particularly good, in terms of AFL standard. (Any player who makes it to the AFL though, to me, is a great footballer).
While they play for Richmond I support them. I support Richmond.

I'd love nothing better to see Chaffey back to his old ways, but I just think he has lost all ideas on what to do, he has no confidence in his kicking anymore, with each disposal I think he can actually hear Richmond supporters gasp for air as he goes to kick it.

He isnt the only one either, I used to think Andy K was going to be great for us and it looked like it aswell but something has happened to him too.

But everyone is talking about getting rid of the senior players and just playing the kids which is utter BS in my opinion, that wont acheive sweet F all. The simple fact is we cant play all our kids at once, and this 8 week threat Terry has made isnt about playing a bunch of kids at once its about which senior players will be wearing Yellow and Black next season. These older guys so easily critised will still be playing until round 22.

I was disappointed with our teams effort last sunday I think we all were but come on seriously who apart from madtiger really thought we were serious finals contenders all because of a new coach, hell even with super coach Dennis pagan the Blues finished 15th in his first year.

I have said it before we have far too many dreamers that follow Richmond its sometimes embarrassing.

Just too loose down back.North had the same problem with Makepeace and Pickett before that. They just need to redefine his role and he could turn it all around. He actually has a very good goal sense when he pushes up I reckon.

Should seriously look at footy with a better attitude smoking and grogging on doesn't help when injuried or in the season. (Please note I actually know him)

Willing to indicte anyone else at the club with these habits?

lfmaooo@Chaffey being the clanger king because of a permanent tremor caused by alcoholism.

Smoking can't help for a professional footballer, he grew up locally I don't know any other Richmond player. Last was Tim Scott Branigan but was delisted

Our entire backline. And Richo lining up for goal, although I think this is actually the result of smoking too much crack. These habits were introduced by the previous coaching staff, who apparently with their strong St. Kilda links, knew a bloke who could get great gear cheap.

Campbell had a great smoking habit.. I remember seeing him having a good puff a few years back.

As to chaffey.. Lets hope he goes back to the reserves and stays there. He is the worst of our senior players by a long way and that is saying something.

a professional footballer smoking? how serious is someone like that about having real success? i was a fan, but have serious doubts about him now, especially if that is his attitude.

You'd be suprised at how many smoke
I know of a player who broke the beep test record at draft camp who you'd see down at the pub every week with a beer in each hand and a smoke hanging out of his mouth

You'd be surprised how many players do smoke. Tarrant and Licuria for collingwood are both smokers i believe.
