Has anyone ever bought a copy? Is it worth it?

Personally I love the statistical and analytical side of footy. There is so much information available now that having a frame of reference is more important than ever.

Just wanted people's thoughts on the matter.

Maybe pose the question on the Supercoach board.

I know they get all DeGooey when it comes out.

I have every edition - albeit as a late adopter.

The nature of the prospectus is 85% of it is one paragraph of each player regarding some key stats regarding what they do well and what they don't do well.

They also have several pages of stats/informed opinion based on stats on each team going into team game styles, team stats and where they are lacking and where they are strong.

Further to this there is a section on fantasy footy.

Some draft stuff based on the following years draft prospects their top 25 or 30 with a brief short couple of sentences based on their junior numbers.

There is also some writing regarding the way the game is going - this year the topic was ball movement.

Overall the book is expensive. But if like me you get a years worth of good reading out of it, it's worth it. And along with the year The Age football magazine with all the players, brief profiles and pictures etc, the Prospectus is that only other book I make a point every year of getting my hands on.

Thanks for this. I think I'll go ahead and buy a copy.

When spring comes everyone is looking over their shoulder for the Magpies!

I've got each one bar 08 I think. The nearest thing to a footy almanac you'll find, but as TD pointed out its pricey. I'm stats minded though so I like collecting them and referencing back to from time to time.
