At this early stage it's probably a more important stat than your points average.

Mine is $1,530,900. (2200 points average)

I'm wondering how it compares with others?

2220 average
pretty happy so far with my first year. enjoying it. not really sure what to do with the money though. seems like the convention is to sell off the rookies who've increased$ about midseason, in order to upgrade mid-priced players to guns who've had slow starts? what i don't understand is who to trade them out for. any replacements who are getting enough games to function as emergencies can't be cheap themselves. so i'm a little confused about that, but we'll see.

$1,182,900 (with $700k in the bank)
2186 avg - Should have been better, but this idiot decided to take a risk on Goddard as captain, not Ablett... moron
2 trades

Otherwise, Happy at this stage.

1,211,200

2277 av

... I used Kane Cornes instead of Ablett as captain last week ... read too many 'expert' opinions and was swayed by my own stupidity ... it won't happen again.

I held Raines and picked up Zahakas last weekend as my first trade, still have 19 in the kitty and I won't be trading at all in the next 3 rounds unless it is for long term injury

The 'yearlings' are nearly ready to be sold :)

not having a go, but why would you say this is probably more important that your av points?
someone could select a team full of sub $100,000 players at the start of the year - have them all average only 45 points a week to obtain in a score of about 1000 a week at this stage would still result in an increase of around $2mil, not to mention the $7mil theyd have left in the bank, but what good is all this money with such poor scores and limited trades? Increase in team value is an interesting stat but can be irrelevant, it all depends on your team composition..i reckon in the perfect world you'd have high av points and high change in value :thumbsu:
(think those $ estimates are right, it is late and the mental calculator is struggling lol)

Most coaches have geared their team so it gets stronger as the season goes on by selecting bargins, trading in cash cows and upgrading players. Change in team value is just an indicator of how much your team is getting stronger. This is the art of SC.

You are right though, in that the best coaches will have high av points and high change in value. But if the value of your team is not going up you will eventually get over-run.
