Changes after todays game

Don't really want to drop anyone in our backline as they were crusified by terrible coaching. Why McGuane hasn't been brought back in just baffles me does anyone know anything? he was doing well earlier in the year and didn't play so terribly that he deserved to be dropped ahead of about 3 other blokes.

Suppose I'd like us to drop Kingsley and bring in either Schultz or Riewoldt (whoever performs better), McGuane for someone I suppose (just cause at one stage I saw guys who are 184 about against guys 190+ and think he has the makings of a good backman). Suppose I wasn't overly impressed by Jackson at stages but he's been good so gets another week. Hughes remains in the side. Hmmm might travel out to coburg tomorrow considering its not that far (Fitzroy here) see who performs (btw Brown and Simmo come in as auto inclusions if they're fit)

OUT: Kingsley - Cant kick, only gets cheap goals, doesn't get enough of it, and that play where he didn't go for the ball and let the opposition get it was just pathetic and he needs to be kicked out of this team for LIFE!

Edwards -Just needs a run in the VFL to get used to getting the ball a bit more.

White - Fumbled and didn't do much with the ball, needs to go back to VFL.

IN: Brown - Finally will get a chance to play AFL footy.

Simmonds - We will have a proper Ruckman!:D

Tivendale - Dont know what the circumstances were to why he didn't play but if he is fit then he needs to be in the side, wasn't bad against Brisbane and we need to hope he can keep that up.

why does edwards get the stick he is showing signs of a endevouring young player, we need him.

Agree. Is still raw, his kicking is pretty woeful, but i love him in the team. His endurance to cover the ground is amazing. We can't play finals so he should get as many senior games as he can this year which will fast track him doubly as fast, compared to playing him at Coburg where it is twice as easy. KEEP HIM IN TERRY. Kicked 3 goals today, knows how to find space and doesn't tire as easily as others due to his big engine. If he can just improve his kicking. Will be very good.

GO TIGES!!!

What has polo done wrong?? I havent seen the last 2 weeks.

What has Polo done right? Was great last year but has been sheizen this year. Doesn't do enough or hurt the opposition at all with his disposals. Is too slow, kicking is very ordinary and just doesn't win enough of the ball. Has a good footy brain but doesn't have the speed or kicking ability to be a great damaging player. If anyone needs to be dropped this week it is Polo, depending on who plays well for Coburg tomorrow.

i wouldnt say he has been sheizen this season. Was one of our better players against port. Was good against the doggies and solid against the crows. Held murphy pretty well in the first game.

Has been a bit up and down and obviously had some off field issues.

Was at the game today and if any of the guys mentioned in this thread get dropped before Johnson, they can consider themselves very unlucky. I know it wont happen but he is even worse live FFS!!!!!!!!!!

Too slow, can't kick and most of his work is done kicking sideways or putting guys under pressure.

Shane Edwards shows lots of potential but he has had enough time at AFL level to show something more than he has so far.

Let him go back to Coburg and get some confidence before bringing him back later in the season to prepare him for next year.

Thought Edwards was ok. Need to keep playing him although someone will have to go.

.................

If Simmonds was playing today Connolly would be looking for another job.

Edwards didn't do anything today, or for the last 3 weeks. Needs to go back to Coburg for confidence.

Spot on with the Simmo comment though.

Tivendale in.
Why?
He is invaluable, for starters he is crap, had no future in our team thank god, and the only reason he should play is for leadership for the kids, which he shows none.

He has no place in our team unless you want to stay crap:rolleyes:

Changes Vs Melbourne
Out:
Polo: Pumped today, looked a little underdone. Not entirely his fault as was fighting out of his wieght division
Thurstfield: Played on maybe the 5th best foward for Freo?
One of Edwards, Howatt, White or Hyde: Edwards might need some more game time at Coburg. White fumbled it too much today and only had 12 touches. Howatt was okay, made a couple of errors and crucial tackles that didn't stick. Everyone is calling Hydes head, but he shouldn't get dropped after todays game
Kingsley: For match up purposes, if Simmonds comes back he will probably play up foward for a lot of the game to ease him back into it

In:
Brown: You Blood Bewdy!
Simmonds: see Brown
McGuane: For Thurstfield
A played who impresses in tomorrows Coburg match: Hopefully a Meyer or a JON or Conners

You have to be kidding ith some of your comments RG.

Polo tried his guts out all day but got beaten by a much more experienced player.

Thursfield is coming back from a season out with a knee and needs time to settle back in. Maybe he should have missed this game because of the travel effect on his knee.

Edwards needs to go back to Coburg for some confidence but he looks the goods so it would be nice to see back later in the year.

Cam Howatt wasn't on the ground much so I guess it must have been a match up situation.

Whitey didn't spend much time on the ground in the first half but he sure put his head over the footy in the second half and has just got out of the ambulance after being assessed for concussion. I only saw him fumble once while trying to pick up an errant handpass with a Docker on his hammer, but still got the footy out which resulted in a Tiger goal.

Hydey was a producer today and will continue to be one of strongest contributors.

I am afraid that Kingsley is just what they say his is, ineffective and soft.

It would be great to see Brown and Simmo back next week, and I guess McGuanne should give Thursty a rest and some confidence.
