Changes for next round

I will probably get crucified for saying this but

Out: Bower (inj), Hampson, Fisher
In: Waite, Edwards, Pfeiffer

Fish can do with a run in the Ants. Hasn't done anything this year. I suggested we use him as a lead up CHF option to try and work him into the game and provide a better target than nothing but unfortunately he is struggling with confidence at the minute.

Fisher has actually taken 10 marks or over in 5 games this year. I'm the first to admit though he's been up and down this year. Being 2nd tall at his size, as well as coming back too early from in a hurry, hasn't helped him but he'd played some decent games. I'm along way from dropping him.

Good call........was pathetic for us vs Freo.......with Pav only kicking 3 on him.......on of which was a disgrace before the bounce........

Was equally hopeless last night.

We need to go much smaller down back.

With Bower out, I'd drop Setanta, omit Waite for disciplinary reasons, drop Thornton for having Johnson kick so many on him (what do they say.....to find confidence in the ants).........drop Kreuzer for the same reasons........along with Bentick, Carrazzo, and Murphy (confidence gone as well, not his best game), Hampson (for confidence)..........Fisher.....second poor game in 3 weeks.......needs some confidence.......who else........actually pretty much the whole side after last night.


On second thoughts........maybe dropping them will HURT their confidence.....and show the player the coach has no confidence in them.......hmmm.......

correction... Santa only had 2 kicked on him... Pav was in the guts when he kicked that one out of the middle... can hardly place blame on santa for that one...

nice ramble. BUT i do not doubt his defensive ability. It is adequate. The problem is we need to find a way to keep the ball out of his hands. He costs us in other ways

Just read a few facts on Bentick.

He's 22 ( I honestly thought he was 24 or 25 so he's still got as much if not more upside than everyone's favourite Russell.)

He actually captained a TAC Grand Final winning side. ( Not a bad feat usually.)

Is actually compared by people in the club to some guy named Brett Ratten??????

I'm sorry, if you want to bag him because he doesn't run for 78 metres and take 8 bounces along the way ( yeah like those stats actually help out, half the time it's more selfish pkay than a stat) go ahead.

He does what he is in the side to do. Stick his damn neck into the packs for the hardball and to tackle any other opposition prick with the ball! And he does a lot better than some of our other midfielders.

I'd rather a mix of guys who can either run and be flashy with the ball and guys who do the work.
