It’d be written up as ironic cheering and we’d be pilloried for making fun of a teenager who was the victim of a brutal assault.

Nah I rate him highly. Just had some poor kicks on the weekend but he’s a star IMO
What do you rate highly about him? I think he will be a decent B-B+ have watched every game he has played and haven't seen anything that screems Star yet. I think Cerra will be better.

Rotham out for Duggan. Gee, thats stiff. I don't think he did a lot wrong last week. Obviously Duggan when fit needs to play, but I'd be disappointed if I was Josh
I wouldn't be disappointed, and certainly not surprised. Rogan is aware of his role as a rookie defender coming into the most settled backline in the comp, and would understand the reality of being dropped for the returning Duggan. He can go back with confidence in his game and tear WAFL a new one, develop and continue to push for reselection.

He, Cerra, Dow and LDU who went between 2 and 5 will all turn out to be quality. Difficult to say at this stage who will end out ahead. Brayshaw has as much a chance as the others.

He seems to be a real quality kid with good leadership qualities as well. (Not that I’m saying the others don’t have that - haven’t seen much of any of them do any public speaking, possibly because they haven’t been punched in the face by an All Australian).
I reckon Brayshaw was the safest bet of the top 5 picks of that year. He doesn't have the explosiveness or skill to be the best player in the league but I would be surprised if he didn't play 200+ games.

His ability in tight, attack on the ball, tackling, leadership, work rate - I see him as another Joel Selwood.

How about Bubba Ainsworth in for Masten? Reckon its a happening thing.

It’s a bold strategy, predict Masten will be dropped every week without fail, and eventually the law of averages will win out.

It’s like that old saying - “a broken clock is right once every two seasons”.

Ainsworth has replaced Watson as an EMG.

West Coast Eagles - Francis Watson (personal) has withdrawn from the West Coast Eagles side for tomorrow's Round Four match v Fremantle, to be played at Optus Stadium. Brayden Ainsworth has been added to the final emergency list players.

I know he is up north at the moment.

Probably the safest to make it but probably the lowest ceiling out of the top 5.
