Someone comes out for Batch, probably mini maric, ellis a possibility too.

Height not an issue, STK won't win a hitout all day Maric & Vickery vs Koschitzke & Blake.

In: Batch

Out: Addam Maric

I'm happy with us continuing to manage Ellis' minutes using the vest rather than dropping him as he looks capable at AFL level, just doesn't have the tank yet.

Yep, providing Ellis is fit.

A Maric was quite good today, his best game for the RFC at least so he would be pretty stiff. I like him in the midfield today and he got his knees dirty for the first time in his career.

Rance -> N Riewoldt
Griff -> Kozi
Morris -> Tiprat
Dea -> Saad
Newy spare man

Had a very quick chat to Dylan Grimes today. He will actually be OK to play against the Giants, but he won't be risked n that match and will be right to go after the bye. Good news.

Thanks for the update tugga on optimus. That's great news ! Hopefully big Ben continues to play well and grows in confidence.

Agree with most of this, but the way that Nick works up the ground and runs his opponents ragged, I'd actually be tempted to put Griff onto him.

Out Ellis in Batch. Wouldn't be devastated if Maric went out but I'd like to see him cop a full game, and Brando seriously tires in the 2nd half. Love him, but a spell is due. Either way, just so long as Batch joins the party.

Would like to see Maric get an extended run at it , but also want Batchelor in , wait and see if anyone is sore I guess

Personally, I think Ellis needs a rest.
Maric to start, Nahas to sub.
Batch in.

B: Morris Rance Newman

HB: Houli Griffiths Batchelor

C: Grigg Martin Deledio

HF: Maric Vickery Jackson

F: King Riewoldt Edwards

R: Maric Cotchin Foley

Int: Conca Dea Tuck

Sub: Nahas

Tough call to make with Ellis. Thought today was his best game for the club. Composed, kept his head over it, moved smoothly. However he was buggered in the last quarter. We all saw how Conca struggled over the second half of last season with the demands of the game.
All that considered, I'd probably bring in Batch (if fit) for Ellis - give the lad a bit of rest. That, together with the bye in a few weeks time, should leave Ellis with plenty in the tank to attack the second half of the season!

Brando's first half was awesome, but if he needs a spell, then so be it.
This kid has 10years to go. A week or so in the paddock won't hurt him.

I'd bring in Batch for A.Maric

I think Batchelor could be a good match up for Goddard - cant let him float around getting cheap kicks and linking play.

I'd love the Tiger hordes to descend on Etihad this friday night and fill that top deck and lock out as many saints as possible.

Would love to break our Saints Hoodoo and really announce ourselves

Every tiger should make time to get to etihad on friday and bring along as many tigers as possible.

LETS LOCK OUT THE SAINTERS AND MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE LADS!!!!!

I would be tempted to bring in Post or Miller to try and stretch the undermanned St Kilda defence. Under the roof any rain won't be an issue, so having three marking forwards will be a bonus. Especially with Blake having to ruck some of the time.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Conca get a rest. He's just been performing to an acceptable level for mine.

Out: Conca/Ellis, A Maric

In: Post, Batchelor

Maric unlucky, because he was quite good once he came on today, but a small defender and a tall forward are more important than a likely-sub small forward.

Griff isn't a great endurance athlete from observing him cramp in the last today and against Willy last week.

Rance on the other hand is a running beast and the perfect man to sit on Nick all day imo.

In: Batchelor (if right) Out: Maric

Get your hand off it, it was his first game at AFL level since mid last year, it is a world of difference in intensity and speed. Pretty much every player that doesn't have AFL level match fitness will suffer cramping from pushing themselves that hard after such a long time away from the level.

Agree with the Batch for A.Maric calls. Otherwise no changes

Brilliant bit of news :thumbsu:
