Not even worried on this match Pies win this easy.

Could be the turning point of a coaching spill at Carlton after Thursday night.

Might seam cocky but Pies to win it by 40 points.
I agree.

I don’t like the negative energy from some Pies supporters on social media, it doesn’t help at all. We have no reason to be nervous if we are a great football team.

I’m that confident we will come away with a big win on Thursday. There’s always a risk with making big calls but this is an absolute must win and will be embarrassing if they don’t.

I’ll take any margin, but it should be by a couple goals.

Blues are going to be under massive pressure - not only the coach but players are going to be highlighted.

Two things will happen.

1. This is a line in the sand moment and they will be breathing fire Thursday or

2. Voss is sacked and they will have a new coach sugar hit.

Either way, this has Collingwood lose written all over it.

I doubt they sack Voss at all this year no matter what. They’ll sack him at year’s end when they miss the 8 or (fingers crossed) finish bottom 4

But in terms of this week, Carlton is a momentum team. Be it positive or negative. Look at their 2023. They started to win a few and gathered momentum which they rode to the Prelim.

Conversely, they’ve lost something like 13 of their last 15 or something like that.

Had they beaten the Dogs, it would have given them confidence and belief that they’re on the right track with how they’ve been playing and got them up and about

Losing yet another game despite putting in effort would completely sap their confidence and belief in what they’re doing. We want them with no confidence or belief. Position of weakness not strength.

So basically, they're shit

Carlton will be ready for us.
We will need to play our best footy to win.

While we all rejoice in another Carlton loss, the reality was their performance against the Dogs was of a similar level to our own IMO.

They lost by 8pts to a Dogs side arguably stronger structurally than the previous week due to the inclusions of Jones and O'Donnell. We won by 6.

This will be a tough match to win, it's against a bitter rival and one desperate to avoid yet another loss.

If McKay returns, then alongside Curnow and the improving Kemp, it could cause us some concerns, with our back 6 now needing to be reworked after the elevation of Reef over the Summer

The most curious selection decision is whether we retain Cox.

The easy answer is to say a quick no because Carlton have only being going with the one genuine ruck.

That genuine ruck has been in excellent form however, is a spring heeled jack and one wonders whether we're better to try and blunt his influence by using a 2 ruck combination, while hoping for an advantage when he's resting.

Given Carlton have Cripps and they're a side that feeds on clearance, a 2 ruck combinaton should aid us in limiting the amount of clean ball they can win at stoppage.

I am getting a Bad Feeling about this Game

Think Carlton will play a Blinder as it's there Grand Final
Star Wars GIF

I think we'll see a better Carlton but I think we are a better side and will win.

As long as we Kick Straight for Goal and not be terrible like vs the Dogs

We Kick Straight we should win but IF not then be anyones Game like vs Dogs

It’s always a grand final for them against us
It’s a huge game for us also
We’ve put them to the sword a few times lately and will do it again
This will be a very strong Collingwood team Thursday pm with only Mitchell unavailable and arguably reef from best 23

From the Carlton board:

“Our losses don’t look that bad (apart from the Richmond game) with what hawks are doing to GWS. What GWS did to Collingwood. And what the umpires did to the dogs.

I feel we could very well be right in this game with Collingwood.”

Using this logic, what about what we did to port after what they did to rich after what rich did to Carlton?

🧐

Carlton wins again.

I asked my Trump GPT to comment on how Carlton is travelling:

Nobody has started 0-3 like Carlton. It’s unbelievable. Some people are saying—many people are saying—they’ve lost more times than anybody has ever seen. More than any team in history, OK? Some say it's a record, I don’t know, but that’s what I hear. Frankly, it’s tremendous… tremendously bad. But they’ve got some very rich hombres backing the club, some of the best, and maybe one day they’ll start winning again. Who knows? We’ll see. But right now, folks, it’s not looking great. Sad!"

Do we play both Cameron/Cox to wear TDK down?

Also wonder if there is a spot for WHE. If McKay misses again, no need for Frampton?
