Geez where do we start. Had about 12 players that were woeful.

Lord struggled again with yet another chance.

Luko shit but only his second game back from some serious injuries and a long time off but it was a pretty soft performance.

Sinn, Drew, liddy, boak, Burgoyne all not good enough.

Allir and BZT looked like deer in the headlights at times in defence. We actually missed Esava.

Rioli was woeful and he looks to have stacked on the weight, which is the sort of drop of standards we should be punishing but for some reason we pussy foot around him. It’s not good enough.

Lorenz has had big wraps on here but in 21% game time, which is a reasonable amount of time, he had one handball. It’s not good enough.

If it wasn’t for some individual brilliance from Butters and JHF we would’ve got smoked at home by the bottom team.

Disgraceful.

I don’t mind Liddy. His kicking was off through the first half yesterday but I like that he spreads to find space and give us an outlet option. He doesn’t cough up the ball when being tackled. His tackling itself is reasonable. He’s a solid frame, safe mark and has good endurance if not speed. There are worse players on our list who have been gifted games.

Rioli definitely deserves to be dropped. His unwillingness to chase, support others and general laziness was as bad as I've ever seen on one of our teams. But maybe they keep him to take a match up that would otherwise go to Richards?

I get that Williams' career with us is likely done, but if Rioli is really struggling with something (pure speculation) or if he was dropped, why couldn't Dyl play his role? Willie doesn't really rely on speed to kick his goals. Most of his play is based on smart positioning and instinct play. Dyl showed he had smart body positioning as a defender with his marking in 2023, and was a natural forward as a junior. He's kicked bags before at sanfl level.
