To me Cupido appears too bulky for his game style. He just doesnt look as agile to me as I have seen him, I dont think it is due to injuries either. Perhaps he could drop a few kilos. what do you's think?

Yeah, sorry I probably didn't explain myself properly.
It's just when Damian Cupido grabs the ball within 60m of goal you expect him to nail it.
His field kicking was really good...his goal kicking just didn't quite as spectacular as we have come to expect.

yeah we were definately watching the same game, I agree totally

I've been saying this too, I think he bulked up too much when he had his knee injury last season, before that he won all his footy with his pace, leading out to take a mark or turning his opponent inside out. Now he doesn't have the pace to get away from his opponent and he couldn't take a contested mark to save himself.

FREO POV..

If McPhee plays on Pavlich, you will have a problem, Pav is much stronger this year, can't see McPhee having the strength to go with him, your best bet is Bradley (if fit), otherwise...good luck.

Haven't seen much of Essendon this year, has McVeigh been playing backline, he always seems to do well on eitehr Medhurst or Farmer. Would love to see a Farmer v Zantuck dual....but I'm guessing Zantuck will be required to sit on a taller player, perhaps Webster or our resting ruckman.

In the papers in WA it listed Jason Johnson as a non trainer this week...will he play?...& what is the likelihood of Kepler playing?

I doubt McPhee would play on pavlich, we try to avoid playing Mcphee on a forward that the opposition will go through alot, we want McPhee coming across the Front/ back/over the top of that contest. If I was an opposition coach i would be telling whoever is McPhee opponent to stay as far away from pavlich as possible

Saying that then, I'm guessing a Headland v McPhee match may be on the cards....superb!! Both have pace, McPhee probably slightly ahead on the marking ability. I know McPhee had a great year in 2004, but I think Des is probably slightly ahead on this years efforts...should be a great match up.

McPhee started like a house on fire against Melbourne in Round 1. But in the very same game limped over the line in the second half. His form for the next few weeks was ordinary to patchy.
However he showed definate signs in the last couple of weeks that he was getting back to his best and last week he was the best player on the ground.

Also, not that I think McPhee will take Pavlich, but I do think you have under-estimated how strong Adam McPhee is.

Haven't seen Headland this year, Hopefully mcPhee has kick started his season with possibly his best performance in Red & Black last week. He also usually plays well against freo, hope he continues that this week.

P.s - I think McPhee is more that Slightly ahead on marking ability, if Headland beats him it wont be in the air.
