I think we need another big dude like Laycock to make sure Sandilands is covered.

I'd go unchanged. Bradley wasn't awful. Found the footy in his limited time on the ground and no stuff ups come to mind.

Laycock needs to get some fitness/match practice and until then Bradley gives us good flexibility.

I did not really watch his game, but i did notice that he put a few team mates under pressure at times and his kicking like some others was not the best.

I completely agree. Although I am not sure if Laycock is match fit yet.

I think Bradley will play against Freo! But if he was to be dropped I'd like to add another Midfielder like Dyson or someone else come into the team!

One person I think might be abit worried about his spot would be Lovett-Murray, I know he didnt get much ground time but when he was on he didnt too much and stuff

The big question is how under-done is Laycock? I'm not sure that Hill is enough from keeping Sandilands dominating the ruck. Being under-done can be more of a hindrance then a help sometimes. We saw this in some of the Adelaide forwards on the weekend. If Laycock (the obvious choice) isn't ready, then putting Dyson into defense will allow Fletcher to play Centre Half-Back, and so freeing up Ryder to help rotate through the ruck. Another option is playing Johns in the forward, freeing up Lucas to temporarily hold down Centre Half-Back while Ryder takes a stint in the ruck while Hill rests... that way we'd have the same number of talls in the team.

Hope Dyson gets a game. Could really hurt his confidence if he is not picked after that performance. Especially when you consider players like Camporeale, JJohnson & Heffernan aren't even in the side.

Dyson and Winderlich are two midfielders that I hoped would have a good season. They are potentially our future, and need to be given the opportunity to cement their spots in the best 22.

Would it make our forward line too top heavy?

Personally I wouldnt mind seeing lloyd, lucas and Johns up forward with Davey, Jetta and Monfries crumbing at their feet

yep i agree we need to play Laycock you have to go with him as Sandlands is a dominet ruckman and Hillie needs a rest throughout the game, hey will Solly be getting a boo at the game. I cannot wait living in NSW the last game i went to was against Freo in 2004 and off course we won. For the stats boys Freo has only beaten Essendon once in its history in Melbourne and that was at Waverley in 1997 so lets keep the record up

I'd love to see that too. Mind you John's didn't dominate in the 2nds on the weekend... and I think that's what he needs to do. He's shown that he's got the talent to be a force to be reckoned with (especially pre-season), but he needs to take that step before he can force his way into the seniors. Against Fremantle - they would no doubt struggle to defend him. However from all reports it was Ports smaller players who won the game for them on the weekend.

yes Ports smaller players were to good for Freo but next weekend which i am so excited because i am going we need Laycock in to help Hillie out. i think we will need to look at Josh Carr he was good for them but we need to all get to the game and roar and roar so we can put them Freo *****ers back in there box

Tarrant - McPhee or Mal (not sure how Mal has gone on him in the past but Im guessing he would have played on him during those grand finals)
Crowley - McVeigh

H Black - Stanton

They have good talls down back with McPharlin, Johnson, Parker, I dunno if we should play Johns to stretch em as no doubt theyll cover both Lloyd and Lucas as has been the case over the last 9 years. Hirdy is the X factor though.

In reality, no one can really stop Sandilands being dominant, so there is no need to play Laycock. Simply rotate Hille and Paddy through the ruck. I think Dyson would be the best inclusion against Freo because they have shown they are suspect against pace through the midfield. We need as much pace as we can get in this game.
