Impossible to predict as it all depends on how they come up. We wont know until they run out on the ground, IMO both teams will play games with selection.

I dont think we will risk anyone who isnt right tho, hence why 2 pulled out yest. We seemed to have really gone up a notch in the management of our injuries of late.

Good thing tho, is that none of the injuries are that serious, in fact all going well on Wed, we should pretty much have a full list to chose for the Hawthorn game, with guys like JJ, Campo, Lonergan, Hislop, Houli etc all having played multiple VFL games and pushing for selection as well. Good position to be in after our mini break.

Outs: Jetta and Hille (assuming he is not fit)
In: Bolts and Bradley(only if Hille doesn't play)

While Bolts is not super fast - Jetta has given nothing over the last two weeks. He needs VFL games. Nothing against him - he has played more matches than I thought he would anyway.

as for Bolts - he will present and do a job - is it going to be wet? Would enhance his chance given his frame.

Bolts aint in the best 22 - but this is exactly why we need him - a depth player for when we have a couple of injuries.

As for Bradley - striaght swap with the rucks. Leave Paddy down back - he is getting alot of confidence and it is paying dividends - don't stuff that up now.

it has been reported that both hille and hirdy will be fine to play

and apparently jetta isn't as bad as first thought. if he is fit he may be handy as he would be one of our freshest players

i wouldn't want to bring in welshy, winders or nlm on second thoughts. we have a 10 day break next week so we should make sure that they are 100% fit for that game.

I'm a big John's fan... but to be honest I'd drop him for another running player - either Hislop or Houli. The reason is that the MCG is a bigger ground then the dome, and so more suited for running players. In the dome you can afford to go tall. The extra running player also helps if one of the midfielders doesn't quiet pull up completely with the short week, and their endurance is affected.

I'd leave Hille in the team if he can play, because he's better then Bradley/Bolts.

I reckon you have it the wrong way around. The Dome (in racing terms) is a fast track and there is less space to work in, the ball is transfered from one end to the other so much quicker.

There is much more room at the G for forwards to get into space and greater scope to isolate tall forwards. Had we played at the G on Sat our forwards would have done more damage, the Johns/Gwilt matchup could have really been exploited.

Does Houli any chance at all I'd love to see him play. Leroy's gonna be a star but even if he's not injured he needs to get dropped for a week or two so he can get some touches

Depending on weather conditions.. one of lucas or johns.. can play back..
or three pronged tall forwards.. and three tall backs.. with ryder switching into the ruck..
what about keepler to help out in the ruck? keeps our back six stable.:thumbsu:

Gerrad Healy said that reports say that fletcher has a broken rib, i almost fainted when i heared that when fletcher was injured last year we got torn a new a hole.

So so glad we have Michael just in case it's true. If it is i would rather see someone like Andy Lee play instead of Bradley or Bolton both are taking us nowhere, but 2 fresh players could be very handy.

If Fletcher is out,Bolton or KB should come in i reckon.

...and they should give Houli a run. He's had 4 weeks of watching the big time....now make him play in the big time,he must be jumpin out of his skin..Houli in!!

Paddy and Laycock will handle the ruck no worries.

If Fletcher does miss, it will really test us as we have a poor record without him and if you look at the ladder, we haven't really restricted teams scoring against us, we've just managed to outscore them. Fletcher provides a great deal of composure down back...not to mention would be insurance for us if Ryder is required to play more of a tandem rucking role with Laycock in Hille's absence.

So what? Play him when he is ready.. You would hope he is jumping out of his skin but whats the point if he isnt ready for AFL

I hate it when Fletcher is out..stresses me out.

But in saying that, its looking better these days when he is..Paddy,McPhee and Mal should handle the tall black&white timber.

There's no better time than this week to play Houli. We will still win if he has a quiet debut and if he has a good one...even better:thumbsu:

I've decided just now..if DF is out..bring in the Bolt!!! If he f----s it up...banished for ever to the 2nds,never to return.

His disposal is still 'raw' to say the least. Still needs time to hone his skills at this stage.

Who has said he isn't?..you?

Everyone said Jetta wasn't ready for rd 1 and he did alright.

He's ready for a run in the big time...just a matter of weather he can handle it mentally. Why not give him the chance?

Well,he looked alright to me at training last week.

I thought he was going ok at the BB's?

If he plays a blinder at Bendigo then play him, but until then he can play 2nds...
Yeah Jetta did ok... Was lucky to play against St Kilda though and up until his injury wasb having a shocking match.. So yes we have some great young talent but lets not play them because they want to play.. If they are in the best 22 available play them..
