Langdon will "lead" the defence in the absence of Dunn and Howe but in reality they know what to do and its just a matter of the guys getting around Madgen. Wouldnt shock me if he plays on Buddy...especially if Buddy plays deep!
Shades of Schade?

I'd swap them too but thats not really the point I was making as you well know.

I've seen worse is my point. Add Reid and Apppleby to that injury list and its still not a bad backline, especially given the opposition.

Langdon is having a great year.

I haven't seen worse this year.

Why not? If it comes naturally to him, and he is 25 and well travelled in another sport already, can't see him shying away from it on the next stage up

I think the plus of Mihocek and Magden is that with age comes a certain level of maturity even without the level of afl exposure. They will be fine back there, even if they haven't done it before, they've seen it be done :)

Probably our weakest this year but Dunn and Shaz aint coming back.

Moore only in his third (fourth?) 2018 game and it will be the first time he has played consecutive games. . He will continue to improve. Murray warts and all has good run and carry. Crisp Maynard and Langdon have been nothing short of sensational this season.

Our depth has got us this far and will continue to do so.

Best to wait until hes officially a non selection!
Essentially said Oxley is not coming in.

Sier looks a certain selection by what was said.

The Bear is coming.

The Ox has never arrived.

Ripe for Buddy to go berserk. :(

The irony of Alex Johnson coming back from 4 knee recos to play the Pies a week after Schaz does his third is evil. Gotta wish him the best of luck though. The mental toughness is unbelievable and I speak from the experience of having done an ACL myself and struggling to get back to playing masters footy.

Nothing too shocking there. Does Aish being selected as emergency mean he was available for selection this week but didn't make the team?

Its a huge game for Sam Murray. Hope he can play his role well cause we need his pace.

Its also a big test for Cal Brown. If he gets dropped from the team from here there aren't too many more opportunities to get back in during 2018. As the incumbent its his job to make it as difficult as possible for the blokes like Aish to earn their spot back.

I think being named emergency fulfills a few briefs.

  1. There has to be 4 named so sometimes that’s what is left
  2. The emergency is being noted as being potentially close to selection
  3. Player might not be 100% ready but in case would just have to play
Summing up, probably doesn’t mean anything for Aish other than he is getting close.

Is it getting near the edge for Brown and Daicos?

Really wanted to see Aish and Fas also in the side.

Callum Brown pretty lucky but then again it's not great for kids confidence to come in for one game and then be dropped immediately the next week especially coming in for a big game vs Richmond.
So I can reason with that logic.
