The only thing that might save White was his tackling pressure last week - he laid 6 tackles. Although, he did look short of a gallop. I am pretty sure 3 our of his 4 FA were all from holding the ball decisions. Something that I thought cost Coggers his position in the side only a couple of weeks back.
Tuck's contested ball is something that we could really use on the weekend against the stoppage-savvy Swans. But, there is a solid argument for not changing a winning formula - all be it one that just saw us sneak over the line against an "experimenting" demons outfit.
Clearly form doesn't decide who comes into the 1sts, because we all know that if it did, number 11 would have been playing weeks ago. Will be interesting to see who will make way for Joel next week should we put on a good display against the Swans - with no real down player putting their hand up for demotion.

I remember the game at the G some years ago against the Swans when we kicked a goal pretty well on the siren to win the game, but Richo was free kicked for an illegal sheppard on the goal line. From memory, the ball was like out of everyone's reach anyway and the sheppard would've had no direct impact on the result - bloody umpires!

I remember the last time where we got up by 1 point. Before that was Frawleys last game as coach. I also remember a Saturday(i think) night game where Bolten stopped Richo and they got up by 3 or 4 goals. When was the other? Was it when Lewis kicked 5 goals? What's his name? I think we won in the wet though
Would think that given our season is over Jade would keep looking at the list. Time to give another couple of kids a debut!
Trouble now is Jade is starting to coach to win each game rather than to look too much into the future. That's the trouble when you have a guy that wants the same gig next year. It's only natural I suppose!

I agree, also to many people look to far into disposals these days, the game has changed in the last 5 years. Just because someone has 25 cheap touches doesn't mean that they have played better then someone who has 12 touches.

we are giving games to players that deserve them. players like king adn mcmahon are getting games because we need to know if they are needed for next year.
Who do you want to debut? These are the only players who havent played seniors on or list
Dean Putt - what for? he is gone the kid is just not good enough at the level
Alroy Gilligan - struggling to adapt to senior footy in VFL - no where near it
David Gourdis - maybe, but where and why whats has he done? He will get a game when he earns a game.

The season is totally shot. Don't really care who we play as long as it's the kids, give them a shot. Can't hurt to give them a taste and some AFL experience. Thomson, Connors, Collins, Putt, Rance, etc. Bring them in. I don't think most of them will get a game though as Rawlings isn't in full development mode anymore, he has one eye on the prize (head coach 2010).

Even if he did no club puts out a team full of players who don't deserve it, or in Collins case, is injured.
I think Rance should be in the seniors but apart from that, if they can't hold up their end of the bargain at Coburg and put their name up for selection, they don't deserve to wear the yellow and black.
I'd spew if I saw Connors and Putt waltz into our team on the back of showing nothing.
