After seeing Goldstein tear McKernan a new one I would be surprised if Hird doesn't play a second ruck. Tom Bellchambers is at least 8 weeks off training so out for the year. Jonathan Giles has not put on boots for Essendon at all this year, I don't know what's going on there as he is not on the injury list. His form for GWS was very difficult to track by his stats as he was not always used as a ruckman but a full-forward so sometimes he would play 90% of a game for very few hitouts.

Stewart plays his best footy at AFL level as a defender, his last 2 games before today were in defence, and he played well.
Why t f was he tried again as a floating forward, a position he has failed at a number of times before?

Not as astute as most of you guys but Stewart offered nothing. Never been keen on him. Lobbe is rubbish at the moment. His hands and leg movement are like concrete setting. Watch Paddy in comparison he has soft supple hands and an athletic leap to die for. Don't know who comes in for Lobbe thus my problem in these threads. Redden offers anymore? Don't know.

Definate outs Stewart and O Shea. In Pittard in if fit. Our depth is hard to chose another in. Season is shot give Jesse Palmer a shot see if he's a budding Luke Bruest............my five cents.

Agreed. Confidence player. Needs time to become comfortable at AFL level before we start shuffling him in and out of the lineup. (Same as Butch really, but look what we did there.) Wouldn't be relegating him back to sub just yet either. Give him a couple more games.

Pittard for Stewart - Paul's purley a depth player.
Amon for Neade - Jake runs hard and applies pressure, but we 'need' more than that.
Harvey for Lobbe - Play Harvey as a genuine CHF. His fitness will be ok then.
Palmer for Impey - Jars is part of our future, but so to is Palmer, so let's have a look at him & give him a taste.
