The same thing was said last year but it didn't happen. Instead we kept selecting players with niggles rather than replace them with kids.
Perhaps I’m misremembering the 18 weeks atop the ladder culminating in a PF berth and matches played by WHE, Mitchell, Cox, Mihocek and Markov who have been replaced by Buller and players yet to debut? If a similar run of form is to come over the 4-6 months I certainly won’t be complaining about a lack of youth being exposed! Some will though and the reality is the club can’t win even if they are, you know, busy winning.

No Westy 6:40 pm +10 Coordinated Universe Time (UTC) Friday, but 2 pm +10 UTC Friday.....Westy and Howes, double header within a double header, awesome!

Sitting on top of the ladder was great while it lasted. Not so great when we fell off the perch.
We lost 5 out of the last 7 rounds.
We were lucky to scrape into 4th place.
Mitchell only played 4 matches starting with round 17.
It was a very sad day when Mihocheck went to Melbourne.

We made a prelim and took it up the eventual premiers after losing pendles for the entire game.

By any objective measure we had a very successful season.

Moore and Howe returning is a huge fillip!

But, under enormous pressure, our undermanned and undersized back-line has held up pretty well.

We have been getting smashed at the centre clearance and need to address it. Fly talked about the poor connection with our forwards last week and the better connection in round 0. The fact remains, we have not been able to put big scores on the board.

If the guys picked are not getting it done, then the players-in-waiting need to be given a crack. It won't be this week, but it might start as early as the next game.

Steene deserves a crack ahead of Buller for mine, and McStay needs to find something quick. Steene can take a big grab and will be a far better chop out for Cameron in the ruck. Given the new centre ruck rules, he might even be better at the centre ball up!

Membrey looks to be only warming a seat for West, who can come straight in if he kicks a few and shows plenty in the first two games of the VFL season.

I've been an Ed Allen fan, anticipating a breakout game, but the kid had two effective kicks from 65% game time last game. If we are not going to play him in the middle, then send him to the VFL to get some form. The return of Sully, or even a debut for Anderson, should be on the cards instead.

You sound very negative about last year in your post about it grannie.

Be thankful we aren’t Essendon.
That's the thing about texts, things can be taken the wrong way.
Am and wasn't ever negative about the season.
Wishing to see kids get games when players are carrying injuries isn't negative.
This after Fly saying that players must be "fit to perform," not just "fit to play".

If Fly thought it so important to get games into him, why on earth did they make him sit out as the emergency player and miss out on the Geelong game.
That is something I don't understand.
I think it would have been due to the selection panel weighing the value of having West potentially there to step in if Elliott couldn’t play as more than him getting a run against the Cats reserves

OSCARRRRR
DEBUT!!
Told ya'll. We can't just keep letting Cameron get out jumped at centre throw ups, we've lost a lot of clearance balls due to this. Adelaide played their second ruckman only 20% game time, that's all we need for steene

Yes,I reckon Buller will be dropped, after only two games too.Did we give up on him too soon?
Don’t think it’s a case of giving up. He needs touch and confidence which is sorely lacking right now.

Even DC only played 10 games in his first year here. Expectations for Buller should probably be tempered
