I've just found one place not too far away that makes great pies.
Pastry is excellent and never soggy.
I think the mexican one is my favourite so far, soooooo good.
My local Vietnamese place does killer Pork Banh Mi and prawn dim sims and the bakery does killer pies and pasty's. Its a wonder I'm not Stewy Dew's twin brother yet

try deep fried beer battered dim sims - should assist.

A side note, there is a butcher in Ballan that makes dim sim sausages

Jamie Elliott has only had two season where he went at over two goals a game.

Brodie Mihocek has never had a season where he went over 2 goals a game his best being 1.8.

Bobby Hill and Lachie Schultz haven’t had a season over 1.5 goals a game.

McStay’s “peak” is only beaten by some fire stretches Mihocek and Elliott has but no one is arguing McStay is as good as those two or is expecting him to be.
Yes I shouldn't have used stats. You could use those raw stats to suggest he's comparable to Jamie Elliott or alternatively Ash Johnson. Hes clearly in-between those 2.

My point is simply that his best was only solid and it was only about 8 weeks of being solid. He's bloody lucky that we're so weak in his position. 2 months of solid footy over 2 years ago shouldn't be part of a selection discussion like it is in this thread.

We have been relatively lucky to start the year with Adelaide (Rankine, Curtin), GWS (Taylor, Green, Buckley) and Brisbane (Andrews, McGluggage) having key players missing against us.

We didn’t take advantage of it in the Adelaide game, but hoping we can capitalise in one of the next 2 games.

I am of the opinion that playing weakened sides are often danger games.
For some reason, sides seem to lift when they have some of their best players injured.

Victoria-based Country Cob Bakery, owned by Cambodian-Australian brothers Chan and Ryan Khun, has again won the top prize in Australia's Best Pie and Pastie Competition. Known for their Asian-fusion flavours, they won in 2023 for their signature Cambodian fish amok pie, adding to previous wins in 2018, 2019, and 2020. The Kyneton-based bakery has secured hundreds of accolades for its innovative, flaky-crust meat pies. The GOAT of Aussie pies.

This is arguably their best pie: multiple "Australia's Best Pie" titles, frequently winning with their caramelised pork and pepper pie.

Pies there are sensational, in fact, all their products are faultless

I've never had a fish pie, just the thought of seafood in a pie turns me off which is weird as I love seafood.

I’m not sure how to project him - he’s an inch taller than Fogarty & Tex, but not sure he’ll ever be as heavy. He plays more vertical than those two too
Fogarty is the ultimate example of AFL heights being fudged. He was 192 when drafted, then 18 months ago they had him listed as 195 and now he’s back to 192 😂

Why do I say this? Because last time I looked he was 195 and I was about to correct you before double checking 😬

That’s fair enough, I don’t disagree with that point just the stat. If we actually had a player averaging 10 possessions and 2 goals a game and rarely dropping down from that they’d be close to our best forward since Cloke.

I’m not sure he’s lucky we’re weak in this position though but more down to the talent pool of key forwards available in AFL that McStay gets a game. The teams with two gun key forwards are rare, we haven’t two gun key forwards since 2007, and even at Brisbane he was getting games when they were quite strong in that area with Hipwood and Daniher.

West definitely isn't main key forward materialc could be proven wrong, but just doesn't have the feel of one . Can we really see West hitting the 95-100kg mark ?
Absolutely, the kid has the Jono Brown build. I’m almost certain he’s in the low 90’s already but can’t check because the AFL are worried about the players getting sad about being called fat

Get him into the VFL to keep working on his game. Always hard as a KPF in a totally foreign system at his age. He’ll be fine
Agreed. We know that our system takes time to adjust. He’s very inexperienced also.

He’ll piss 95 kegs in if he wants to. Too much muscle mass will hurt his mobility so he’ll need to find that sweet spot though. Might take him a few years to find his perfect playing weight. I listened to Ben Cousins on Titchs pod say he put on only 2-3kg of muscle one preseason and was absolutely cooked the first game and it took him a month to strip back and regain his running power. Finely tuned athletes these blokes
