Checkers toe injury could have happened to anyone, but can’t help feeling relying on to my aging stars leaves us to vulnerable body issues. His marking which was a strength earlier in the year deserted him and even before his toe was struggling along with all our forwards. We have to many players who don’t have a full season in them and unfortunately checkers is one of them.

I can see why they are trying him as a defender but he's also pretty accurate with goals.
Can't imagine they won't give him another year at least.

He was pretty reliable up forward. He’s a strongly built young fella, which helps. I doubt they’d cut ties with a teenager that soon

It's Membrey he'd most likely replace in our team if we keep Checkers. But I really hope they've got Membrey mentoring West. In terms of his VFL game, the big scope for improvement for West is leading - both patterns and clunking at pace on the lead.

I think he’s a very enticing package and offers a lot of avenues to score. As well as those fast leads, I think he’ll get stronger and we’ll see more of those Cloke like toe-2-toe wrestling contested marks as well as Checkers like ground ball get snaps.

I always buy 2 memberships. This plan grants me extra seats during finals, or if the season goes pear-shaped, 1 for the microwave.

I think he’s a very enticing package and offers a lot of avenues to score. As well as those fast leads, I think he’ll get stronger and we’ll see more of those Cloke like toe-2-toe wrestling contested marks as well as Checkers like ground ball get snaps.

He's very exciting. I see it a bit differently though, to me he hasn't yet got many ways to score as the doesn't yet have the forward craft. Most of his VFL goals were one on ones where he just owned the ball drop. That's the exciting bit, he's got the two big ticks that you want - he's going to be an awesomely powerful athlete and he reads it really well in the air. He needs to develop his reading of the game and craft and timing to get it on the lead and his hands on the lead weren't great, but he's got the pace to be unstoppable if those things come. And he's got a lot of scope to be dangerous on the ground as well. Best tall forward prospect we've had by a big margin since Cloke arrived 20 years ago.

I bought a 17 Pro and a 16e version of the iPhone for that very reason. I don't want to be wasteful by microwaving a top-of-the-line Apple product.

He was reportedly in tears after the match. Obviously that's being reported as him knowing it was his last game with us.

Wonder if that had anything to do with him convincing himself he was right to go.
