I’ve heard Peter North wants to change his last name to West as he’s been brutally emasculatedWest is North, South and East too.

Does this informative analysis really belong in this thread?Charlie is probably not in Fly's best 22 but I think his performance last year in the VFL before injury was top notch....I would prefer to see Westy opening round onwards in the AFL as part of the two tall pronged attack.
Fly will more than likely go with Buller and McStay if fitness isn't an issue which is the right thing to do regarding winning a premiership.
I think the risk short term will deliver long term in spades.
Just quietly, IMO like some other posters, I wasn't impressed with Charlie's debut as a third tall....I think Fly got the game correct (WC) but the structure wrong.

All this Charlie chatter reminds me of the year there was an obsession with Nathan Murphy, his real height and how much he was growing by the day.![]()

This are why I'm staying optimistic. Players like Murphy, Josh Daicos, and Maynard are examples of being patient with what we have.Murphy seemed to take forever to come on. Some of us were losing faith. And then it happened.
A key contributor to our 2023 premiership season. Not sure Moore has ever fully regained the confidence he had with Murphy beside him.![]()

I don’t think Fly gave Charlie the best opportunity that day but he was really just gifting him a game when a spot hadn’t really opened up for him. He deserved a game because of his cracking form but Fly was taking a punt that he could get away with 4 tall forwards against the Eagles which we did. Charlie got a taste and hopefully he comes in next time ready to make a position his.Charlie is probably not in Fly's best 22 but I think his performance last year in the VFL before injury was top notch....I would prefer to see Westy opening round onwards in the AFL as part of the two tall pronged attack.

From what i was told, they planned on that game for some time to debut him once he got his foot right. Fly really wanted to play him. I don't think they set it well for him though. Had to rest someone, membrey probably - given it was checkers 150th. It became too crowded.I don’t think Fly gave Charlie the best opportunity that day but he was really just gifting him a game when a spot hadn’t really opened up for him. It wasn't - But the injury may be a blessing in disguise. It got him to fix it up, and get fitter in the off season.Sadly re-injured his Foot again in the Eagles Game
Was not the best Setup for West in the Game
