While it is a concern that we have lost these last few games, the one thing that must be highlighted is we have batted first.

Even though we have scored well over 300, it is obvious it isnt that big of a total on such small gorunds with a belter of a pitch. I think if we had of betted second in either of the last 2 games we would of won. At least chasing you know what you require, where as when batting first you are not sure what total is good enough.

Well done to NZ, but at the same time your bowlers have been smacked around on these postage stamp grounds and if it is a worry for Australia, it must also be a worry for you.

Bring on the world cup and the larger odds for Australia to win, get on them!!!

p.s (i thought jhonson was gonna break micky lewis's record!)

When you're making 330 plus and record scores on the NZ grounds, there's nothing wrong with the batting.

I agree, i was just saying that if we had of batted second chasing that total we would of won the game. It appears, on these pitches on such small grounds, it is easier to chase these totals than defend them. NZ batted well but it would have been different if we had batted second in my opinion.

Please note, this is simply what I think would've happened. It's all hypothetical.

Australia aren't great chasers anyway. Australia aren't great bowlers either. New Zealand are one-day masterminds. We wouldn't have chased that many, all our batsmen would have gone in trying to hit a six off every ball and we would've ended up all out for about 150. Nobody in our team would've played an innings like McCullum did, summing up the situation and realising that he could go at less than a run a ball and still be a matchwinner.
