Do you have both explorer & netscape, if you have try using the other one, sometimes one doesn't work but the other does.

Thanks, mantis. I'll switch over to Netscape and give it a go.

Nope. Doesn't work either. I remember someone else had the same problem. It's 2.35am Sat morning here so I can't hang on. Could someone suggest other things I might try to get into Chat? I'd love to be able to talk to y'all sometime. Thanks.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, mantis. It's only just beginning here. And I agree with your comment about the cricket being shown tonight instead of the footy. About the only thing I just couldn't get into in Australia was the cricket. I love my baseball. Used to go watch the Melbourne Monarchs play when we (the Doggies) owned the team. My Cubbies lost to Milwaukee Friday, but we're still six games ahead of the St Louis Cardinals - our arch enemy! Go Cubbies! Go Doggies! :D

Same problem as you Chicago1, just a blank screen when I try to go into chat.

Oh and Yankees rule!! Williams, Jeter and Hernandez, they just can't be beat (not when it counts anyway). :) :)

God, QT, it's bad enough you're a Crows supporter. But a White Sox supporter is pushing it a bit too far! ;) Them's fightin' words! :D

Yankees - Schmankees! But at least they're not as bad as them awful Mets (I'll never forget, nor forgive, what they did to my Cubbies in 1969! :( ).

Ah, the Miracle Mets, well, you gotta love an underdog. :) They made a big comeback to overtake the Cubs that year, right??

Exactly. The Cubs were ahead by a big margin throughout most of the season but were overtaken in September by the Mets who eventually won rather easily. They then went on to win the World Series. I was 17 at the time and totally devastated - a bit like I felt after the 97 Prelim Final. Back in 1969 I thought the Cubs would eventually win the World Series within a few years, but it didn't happen. They last won it in 1909 - even further distant than the Doggies' premiership. I'm still waiting for both of my favourite teams to win championships in my lifetime - but I ain't holdin' my breath!

Basketball? Oh yeah..... almost forgot about it since Jordan retired! I was lucky enough to see Michael Jordan play in about five games - the last in Feb 1997. Chicago as a city is still in love with him. He's got to be the greatest American athlete ever and a fine human being on top of it. Have lost interest in basketball since he retired , the same as many Chicagoans.

There is only one football team in our family - the Chicago Bears. I have never had a great interest in American football even when growing up. That's why my family is amazed at my footy fanaticism and especially my love of the Western Bulldogs even on this side of the world. As most people who read my posts in this forum, in the official Bulldog Forum and in BulldogsUnleashed know, I'm an avowed Doggie worshipper. After watching them through 24 years as a member through thick and thin, I miss seeing them tremendously.

The Cubbies have just lost their second game in a row to the Milwaukee Brewers. But we'll bounce back!
