Two players I want to throw out there, Tom Nicholls and Sam Mayes.

I think Mayes may be this years bolter like Wingard and Bennell in former seasons, 90+ average from a forward would be great.

Nicholls was awesome when fit last year, another pre season will only help.

I definitely understand where you're coming from, but Nicholls isn't a second year player. He's been in the system for about 4 years, but still I don't think I could trust him.

Nicholls might be ok to start with but as soon as there other ruck is fit Nicholls scoring will slow down or might be rested etc.I still think sandipants on cheap is better value at this point in time.

Hard to tell, Nicholls was awesome this year, but Smith has been good for the last few years. Can both ruckman fit in the same side? I doubt it.

Going off the suns board he will come back after the second bye. Nicholls scoring was very good and should only get better.

Green played down back this year didn't he?

Plus Zorko hes scoring was crap season just gone.

Blame the coaches for that. Bit hard to score 90+ when your generally being played as a small forward.

I purely blame spud Vossy for Zorkos second year blues.

I'll be watching Zorko closely in the NAB Cup to see where Leppa plays him.

Only thing is I want to definitely lock in Rockcliff into my forward line if still listed as a forward.

If Rockcliff loses his forward eligibility though and Zorko retains his like he should then Zorko must be strongly considered.

I don't reckon I'll pick Zorko, at least me start with him.

If Rocky isn't a forward I'll probably run with something like -

Franklin, Walker, Mayes, Thomas, Higgins, Mitchie.

I hate spending money up forward. Always seems to be different premiums every year.

Whats the go with Higgins? Do you think he will play round 1?

I had him in my team initally but have heard that he wont start full training till mid January and may not even start round 1. More like round 3-4.

Yeah I've heard that too which is strange. Just trying to be cautious as he has a bad record with injury.
And yeah I don't A.Walker will be a defender next year and if it was Tex Walker you picked he won't be playing in round one.

Depends how he goes during the pre season. We're going to be very cautious after his navicular, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play for a while. There is no way we're rushing that guy with his injury history. Could be a good downgrade target later on though, he'll probably have a good average, but I won't be starting with him. Too much risk.

Mitchie in the starting 6?? What do you base that on?? Didn't get much of a go at Freo. Melb will have Clarke/Howe/Watts/Dawes up forward..

I'd reckon Billings or even Garlett would be a better choice.

He'll be a mid only next year anyway, so get Michie out of your forward line

Also another to consider is Jono O'Rourke, pick 2 a year or so ago and only played two games last year, 123K and SUPER talented
