Well it looks like the DSE sale is true, some massive bargains to be had by all but me as i will be overseas :(:mad::(

Dick Smith has confirmed that the sale is indeed 100% real and that it starts from Monday. It has confirmed the news on its Facebook page. However they say that they will continue to sell games ’bigger and better than ever.

So I've had a look at the stock levels of the things I'm interested in and it looks like basically everything is either gone or close to it. Got a feeling this sale might be a fizzer

There's been no mention of if they're going to make it compatible with the HD 'remake/re-imagining' thing.

Too bad it's by the same dev...have heard some ok things and some bad things about it (soundtrack on the bad....no old songs:().

I get the feeling there'll be a low stock count on this stuff, will have to come up with a plan before Monday. Either ring around and check out stock, or just have all the links for the games/accessories ready so that when 8am clicks over you buy instantly.

So whats the deal with Dick Smith?? Does your local store have to have it in stock for you to be able to purchase or what? Most of the stuff is "click and collect" and "no home delivery" so if your local store is out then you're SOL?

Would seem so yes.

It's not a 'WE HAVE TOO MUCH STOCK, TAKE IT!!!' sale, it's a 'THESE STORES ARE CLOSING, TAKE WHAT'S LEFT' sale. So it'll depend highly on what they have left at what stores.
