Cheapest one was the 1966 premiership where the Saints were the beneficiaries of an all time favourable free kick record

Fitting there is no footage/photos of the players in St Kilda guernsies.

Also

Q: Why is it prohibited to swim at St Kilda beach?
A: Because it only has 1 flag.

Plugger smacked down with the first reply. Nice job.

The 1966 premiership was not cheap, have a look at the last 5 minutes of that game, St Kilda had to hang on against the Pies and the umpires.

Baldock, Ian Stewart and Cowboy Neale were repeatedly infringed as we were clearly the more talented team, we should've won that game by 5 goals.

Congrats to Richmond but they won another cheap premiership today with an interstate opponent not turning up.

Other cheap premierships.

Geelong v Port Adelaide 2007

Hawks v Sydney 2014

Hawks v West Coast 2015

Bulldogs v Sydney 2016*

Richmond v Adelaide 2017

Richmond v GWS 2019

*umpires

I wish St Kilda was so lucky but we ran into Geelong and Collingwood in our 2009 and 2010 GFs, two other Vic teams that had more MCG experience than us.

I know people will point out that we played an interstate opponent in the 1997 GF but Adelaide were a f***ing good side back then with Mcleod, Riccuito and Darren Jarman.

St Kilda was missing our best ruckman and arguably our best player in Spida Everitt, our no.2 ruckman in Lazar Vidovic and Nicky Winmar's dad died so he was cooked.

Maybe one of these days we will get one of those cheap premierships like Geelong, Hawks, Bulldogs. Richmond.
Ironic you said that.

you look at Todays scoreline. It was 114 to Richmond to GWS 27.

Your a subiaco fan. your team beat South Fremantle 120-24. You call that a cheap WAFL flag?

But that's not the tune you were singing to at the time, was it?

The GF replay was a joke.

It was hard earned the week before in the real GF, it shouldn't have gone to extra time.

We were robbed by the bounce.

We were also robbed in 2009 by the Hawkins poster.

I didn't taKe either of those results gracefully but they were great battles.

Got to sleep in their own beds, then walk across the road to their own ground and even got some of their own supporters to officiate them.... Lucky ducks!

Didn't the crows finish 5th, lose their first final then get a home semi?

That was in '98 and no Home Semi.

Crows played 5 consecutive interstate games in a row to win the '98 flag. Arguably the toughest flag ever won.

Saints threw in towel in the GF replay

Disgracefully weak effort

Nothing of that was their doing. The system is not even but that's not the Tigers fault.

Robbed by the poster? It was in the second quarter. Saints choked when kicking for goal like us in 08.
In 2011 a Collingwood player hit the post in the 3rd and it was paid a goal. Can't say you were robbed by an incident in the 2nd quarter.
What about the ridiculous free on half time that cost us 2 goals?
