Health Cheap Victorian Dentists

OK, so I haven't been to the dentist in about 4 years. Granted, not a smart move, but it's done now. As a uni student, spending exorbitant amounts of money I don't have on dental procedures does not appeal. However, I can clearly feel that I have cavities and am resigned to the fact that this is something that I am going to have to do.

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced dentists in Victoria that I can go to, ideally the metropolitan area? I am more than willing to drive about the country if it'll save me a couple of hundred bucks...

There's some guy in Collingwood that actors and artists have used for years.

My Ol' Man got an 'experimental' (meaning cheap) set of crowns done... that didn;t end up well though...

From memory...the Uni sometimes offers cheap health services, i definitely know there's a Uni eye centre, probably a dental centre too.
Drawback is you've got student dentists working on you (supervised I assume) so it might take longer + riskier (? probs not really) but I think it would be cheaper.

Do your parents have health care? if so will probably be covered for a fair whack of the bill under their policy if living at home still.

Yup unis that run large dentistry courses normally run dental hospitals that are cheap but it the students doing the drilling
