Ring the club or have a look at the membership booklet (it will be out soon) info on the cheer squad is usually in there.

I hear that there is a long waiting list to join them anyway, well last time I read a thread somewhere about someone wanting to join.

That was about 2003, or so.

Well, if you have a high opinion of your own superiority and self worth and would like a free ride season after season, the cheersquad is the place to be! If you want to hold up an advertising banner and wave a red flag around, the cheersquad is the place to be!

No offence to you guys who are not in the Magpies Cheer Squad,but just a personal observation,don't you have to have half your teeth missing to join?..............

Our cheersquad is the biggest joke around, you dont want to be associated with them

But according to the membership brochure if you join they will let you sit there for a couple of games a year, wow

You serious...so you pay money so you can make a banner?

Thats also only a couple of times and once you might get lucky and get to hold it up

Basically most of the cheersquad is a cliquey bunch of ********ers and they attend every game , cry if they dont get to sit front row, always hold up the banner, then anyone else who wants to join is on a rotational basis

We need unofficial cheer squads that aren't drunk floggers looking to fight with the official cheer squad. They can get full on songs going and we can have our version of the barmy army or make it like european soccer where there are many different groups of supporters.

I actually don't think it is fair that you should all comment on the cheer squad as you have.

Some of these people are very nice people. I think it shows what sort of people you are to be so nasty about someone you probably don't even know.

Bah. I think the majority of normal Collingwood supporters are fed up with the cheer squad reinforcing the "bogan, toothless feral" stereotype that we all get tainted with. I don't think it should be a great surprise to anybody that the cheer squad has received nothing but scorn in this thread.
